We love Blue Water Seafood Company and buy all of our fish from David on Sunday mornings at the Westlake Village Farmers Market. We won't buy fish anywhere else now since we found him about a year ago. We are obsessed with his sushi grade tuna, scallops, and salmon and love the cuts of swordfish. He has the best personality, which adds to the experience! He is very knowledgable and has great recipe ideas too! We are afFiSHinados, as you can see by all of my Yelp reviews.UPDATERaw Inspiration has removed David from the Blue Water Seafood booth and I'm not sure why. The fish is still good but we looked forward to David's knowledge and outstanding personality every Sunday morning in Westlake Village. We are very upset that he isn't there anymore. :(

They are at the 2 brand new markets that opened in Irvine today ("Irvine Square" at MacArthur & Main and "The Crossroads" at "Culver & Barranca"). I went to their location at The Crossroads. Lots of great fish. Extremely fresh. Wasn't even looking to buy seafood, but then saw the fresh seafood and talked to them about how fresh it is (off the boat the day before), so I bought it went home. Will grill tonight with veggies I bought from other vendors here.Picked up tuna sashimi, two kinds of salmon (fresh caught).

Char, swordfish, branzino, trout, salmon (and much more) -- all very fresh and tasty. You won't find fresher or as many appetizing choices at the high end grocery stores in this area. Sorry Gelson's and Bristol Farms, lucky for you that you don't have to compete with this little fresh fish stand the other six days a week. And he'll pack it in ice for your drive home. This stand is located at the Playa Vista Runway Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. There's an adjacent parking structure (with movies, WFM, and CVS.) Or if you just want the fish and you have a driver, there are roundabouts at either end of the market for quick pickups.

I was at the Brentwood farmers market on Sunday. I normally buy my food from Santa Monica seafood but they had live lobsters through blue water for about half the price. $10 a pound. So, I took a chance. I bought two 1.5 pound lobstersThese were the two worst lobsters I've ever had. Both claws were entirely devoid of any meat. Just a little stringy piece as all the meat had atrophied. And secondly, the meat smelled and tasted of ammonia. Clearly there was a huge amount of nitrogen build up in these animals.Lesson learned.

We go to the Playa Vista Farmers Market most weekends. 2 years of purchases from this vendor, and they're just outstanding in terms of freshness, choice, and good service. We get everything from clams and mussels to cod to salmon... all outstanding. Pricey at times, but totally worth it and restaurant quality (often sushi grade). Hunter (the rep at this market) knows his stuff and is a pleasure to deal with!

David at the Costa Mesa Farmers Market is the best! I've had the Uni, Shrimp, and Little neck clams and all of them were excellent! You can't beat the freshness of the product and the taste really shines through their products here. I made an uni bowl and you could taste the sweetness of the uni. Great Product. The shrimp are very large almost prawns. I made a shrimp and clam dish with white wine, onions, garlic, butter, and olive oil for my son one night and the next weekend my girlfriend said she wanted to have that again so I made it again the following weekend because it was that good!Come out to the Costa Mesa Farmers Market off Hyland and Sunflower open 9a-2p. You will be very happy you did!

Love them. We bought some incredibly fresh halibut today at the Westlake Village farmers market. They were really pleasant and professional and gave us an "end of the day" discount. Even less expensive than Costco and way fresher looking. Very moist and nicely sliced and packaged. See you next week.

The fish is the best around. Top notch. Fine restaurant level. Why only 2 stars? Because they start closing down way before closing time so they can just drive away at closing time. They say sorry but don't really care. They lose out on tons of last minute business. This is the second time it's happened to me and both times I witnessed several other customers turned away. Showed up 15 minutes before listed closing time.
