Bluewater Grill - Redondo Beach

We had a phenomenal experience at Bluewater Grill. The location is absolutely beautiful - this is a great place for a date night, birthday party, and happy hour. The view is of the marina, we went on a beautiful day and it was stunning. Service was slow to begin because a big group was sat right before us but Janice soon made up for it with her fantastic personality and wonderful recommendations. I love the little things people do and she's that person. We love their clam chowder (new england style) and she recommended trying the manhattan clam chowder which isn't usually something we usually like but it was actually delicious. Even better, she suggested a 1/2 and 1/2 soup (in same bowl) - and it was mind blowing. I knew immediately she was a foodie. All her recommendations were great. We had the Fishemans Platter and Gemelli Pasta with Shrimp & Scallops. A+So basically, the service, food and ambiance was impeccable. Why? The manager Carlos was amazing and I can see that his team loves him. He did stop by the table to check in on us and we look forward to heading back soon.Parking is paid valet but you can park on the metered street parking if you want to save a few bucks and get a short walk in. Lunch time parking was $10. Street parking for 2 hours was about $4. I hate strangers in my car so I opted for the extra 100 steps to park on the street.

I recently enjoyed a work-related dinner celebration at Bluewater Grill.The guest of honor chose the restaurant (I had visited previously a few years ago and had a good experience) and I readily agreed.I was glad there was no valet working as last time they parked my car 6" from where I gave it to them and had to pay for parking after a fairly pricey meal (that sucked, frankly.)Anyhow, this visit there was no parking drama, lol.We were seated at a nice table with a view of the harbor.Our waiter was friendly and eager to please. Not to be tough but he seemed somewhat inexperienced (maybe even nervous) as he rapidly moved through his greeting, etc. The service was slightly awkward throughout the evening with confusion at food delivery, delayed drinks and check-ins.The best thing about the evening was the food! The presentation, quantity and quality were all top-notch! I had the Catalina Island swordfish (is that a thing?), it was delicious! Scallops, salmon, bread, cocktails - all great!So, was it worth it?YES!!!I can deal with eager (and maybe inexperienced) service as long as I enjoy the vibe of the place and the food is GOOD - as it was in this case.4.5 stars - it's a nice spot to dine.

We have this as a staple in our travels to or through RB! It could be as romantic as you'd like, just make sure you tell the hostess you're there for a more romantic meal, you can also come for a large party to celebrate any occasion- either way the staff delivers a spectacular experience accompanied with spot-on food! Bottom line, this place is flexible for small to large groups, with kids and all welcome!

My friend suggested we grab lunch here today & we ordered the seafood Louie salad & clam chowder to share. As we were waiting for our food to arrive, we were served sourdough bread & I had a glass of white wine. Sourdough was good! It was soft & warm. Clam chowder was full of flavor & crab & shrimp salad was fresh & surprisingly filling. Ambiance was spacious with a nice view of the dockside. Service was on the slower side but great customer service. The menu had ample selection of food including their brunch menu so I look forward to returning back to try other items on the menu

In town for business and a coworker recommended this place. We are very glad we went and tried. The views were amazing and the food was phenomenal. The service was on point, our server Ellie, was always available and kept our drinks full, which is huge for me. We had the Shrimp cocktail appetizer and it was amazing, the combination of cocktail sauce and pesto was a new twist that I really enjoyed. I had the Lemon Pepper Mahi Mahi with scallop potatoes and it was over the top delicious. We will definitely return here the next time we are in town.

I wanted to give the blue water grill another chance since it's so close to our house and the ambiance is so nice at sunset. We got server Sara and she was awesome. I was on the fence whether to order the grilled octopus versus the sashimi scallops and Sara recommended the octopus and I'm so glad I listened to her. My friend got the crab cakes and those were delicious also. For my entree I ordered the steak and it was perfectly cooked medium well just as I ordered it. I'm so glad I went back and will return in the future. I noticed they have happy hour and will try it next time.

Went for lunch to Bluewater grill and had such a great experience! Our server Janice was absolutely amazing. She made the experience so great, as she not only took great care of us but made some suggestions that made the food even better. First she suggested we try the clam chowder mixed between the two styles they offer, and my wife and I loved it! Then suggested a little bit of lemon for the soup, as well as my pasta, and that was also delicious. The restaurant has an amazing view of the harbor which also made the experience and ambiance so memorable. We both enjoyed our cocktails as well. We spoke to the manager Carlos as well, and he was extremely nice and friendly. We will definitely be coming back again soon as we had such a great experience there!

Parking is easy, no need to make a reservation, waitress was nice. Food was delicious. Ambiance is romantic. Great view of the ocean. I highly recommend

Overall the food was good. But the service failed. When seating is they sat us away from all near the kitchen when asked if could seat with water view they said not enough servers. As we sat down they sat people after us at the window . Then we patiently waited for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment when finally someone noticed and apologized and told us our server was not there yet sad. Food was good.

Amazing, beautiful and warm atmosphere. From the moment we were greeted by the hostesses and taken to our table, to our server Sammy who was awesome! My husband asked for the manager and Sal was also a pleasure to talk to. We expressed how great Sammy and the restaurant was . It was our first time there and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful evening. We will be coming back!
