BlueSalt Fish Grill

This may be the best fish place I've ever been to. I love that there are an infinite number of ways to build your meal. They have a good list of fish to choose from, then you get to choose the seasoning, and your sides. I get to eat something different each time I come. Though I will say I've been stuck on this Salmon Brioche Burger for a bit because it's THAT good. Definitely try it out. The workers are always so nice too and I love the fish decor on the walls. I will say the tables and plates are starting to look a little worn, but that's a minor thing. Everyone in my family loves this place and can vouch that it's 100% worth visiting (and revisiting).

Good food, many options, big portions, good deal. The spicy garlic Cajun sauce with the swordfish was good. The snapper with smoked sea salt rub was a bit too salty. The brown rice quinoa was very good. Corns and garbanzo beans were good, too. Casual atmosphere with helpful cashier/server who knew about their food to recommend different combo. I would come back.

One of the staples in my family. It's relatively healthy depending on what you get and it's fast and reasonably priced. I usually get a salmon plate with herb butter with rosemary potatoes (well done) and brown rice (with walnut pieces) as sides. I also like their tacos as well. They are not stingy with the amount of fish and everything tastes fresh. Parking can be a little tight during busy times but I've never had to really wait long.

It had been years since the hubby and I dined here. It sure was busy on a Friday evening. Most of the tables were all taken except for one out of the way table by the window. It needed bussing so I asked someone to clean it while the hubby was in line. BlueSalt Fish Grill is pay-at-the-counter and they give you a number to bring back to your table. We were next to the window so we had the LA County Health Dept score of "A" posting next to us. An "A" is great.As in my previous review from 2017, still lots of choices on the menu. My safe, go-to choice was the fish and chips. 4 stars! Good batter, nicely fried, and tasty tartar sauce. I tried some of the scallops that the hubby ordered and they are delish. I'm used to homemade ceviche that a former coworker would bring to potlucks. Tried BlueSalt's and it's 3.2 stars for me. I liked it.Passed on dessert this time.Parking is still tight here with small spaces.They also have a Redondo Beach location next to a yogurt shop.We may be back when craving seafood.

The food is always superb here. The decoration with chunks of blue glass are so soothing. I just wish they would repaint the tables or something. I got swordfish with orange teriyaki and broccolini.

The food here is delicious! And I have to say, it all tastes healthy too. The salmon plate is so good! I have heard about Bluesalt and I'm grateful I gave it a try. Eating inside is a pretty casual experience. They give you a number and bring it to you. They also offer fountains drinks. I am really happy with the food here, it's all amazing!

Great vibes on the inside and the food tasted great. The place is always packed, but it doesn't have a notably negative effect on the rate that you get your food. A prime choice for a healthy fish option.

Food is good portion sizes were small for me. I ordered the salmon rice, pilaf, and roasted potatoes when I got my order to go. It felt like a bag of air, but the food is good and prepared well. The place could be a little cleaner seems always dirty inside.

If you are ever by Redondo Beach, you need to try this seafood restaurant! A lot of the seafood restaurants are overpriced and just not the best quality. This place is a hole in the wall and doesn't look like anything special from the outside. When you walk in, it's very casual with the menu and specials up on the wall. You order your food, and they bring it to your table. They have many options to choose from, and the workers were super helpful and were knowledgeable about the different types of seafood. For the food, it was amazing. I got the barramundi with a miso glaze on the side paired with Mediterranean vegetables (extra charge) and pilaf rice. The fish portion was huge. It was tender, flaky, and had a mild taste similar to cod. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and were perfectly seasoned. The quality is what you can get at a fine dining restaurant without the tipping and paying less for the meal altogether. The meal tasted fresh and worth coming back again!

Wide variety of fresh fish and seafood, nicely char grilled. Some favorite sides are Caesar Salad, Grilled Zucchini & Yellow Squash, and Brussel Sprouts ( charred and dressed with balsamic vinegar.)Fried Calamari with 2 different sauces ( garlic aioli and kind of a sweet & tangy sauce ) is a great starter.Ceviche is good too.You may choose to add your choice of fish to an entree salad.Service is fast, and their self serve soda & beverage station provides endless combinations for us would be " mixologists."
