Dining at Blue Bayou was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is absolutely magical, with the glowing lanterns and serene bayou setting that truly transport you to another world. The restaurant overlooks the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which adds a unique touch to your meal. The food was delicious and perfectly presented. I had the Jambalaya, which was flavorful and packed with seafood and sausage. My friend tried the Monte Cristo, and it was crispy and delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. Don't skip dessert--the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake was divine. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The experience is a little pricey, but it's well worth it for the ambiance and the quality of the food. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Disneyland, especially if you're looking for a memorable meal with a view!

Good: we were able to get a same day walk in reservationAsked what our allergies were Clean bathroomsFriendly-ish staff Stroller parking on the side of the restaurant Bad: as I'm doing this live review, we are still waiting for our appetizers. We only got our drinks and we've been waiting about 30-35 minutes. The wait is killing me: my daughter is HANGRY and giving her dad and I cold attitude and it's quite obvious. Neutral:We are seated smack dab at the entrance right top of the steps as you enter the dining area. My husband likes the cool breeze, I wanted to be closer to the area where you can see the pirates of the Caribbean riders sail past the restaurant. Our server came to check on us once to see that we're ok but the no smiles on our faces, showed otherwise. With a hangry kid, it's definitely hard to enjoy a good meal and energy. I'll be back to post about our food once we get it. If we get it in a timely manner.Update: this food runner brought urge wrong order to us and placed it in front of my daughter. She was so excited she picked up a strawberry but then the lady said oh wait put it down that's the wrong order so she dropped the strawberry and is once again, HANGRIER than ever....stay tuned. 1:21 PM

This place is very hard to get in and we were so grateful to have been able to get in. The wait was about 15 minutes. While there are not many things to pick from (It's a small menu), the limited items they do offer is done to perfection.I got the crabcakes, which was superb. I don't know what sauce they added to the crabcakes, but that was definitely finger licking good. The prime rib was one of the best I've ever had : juicy and delicious. The cocktail was nice I was also grateful that they let me order from the kids menu: shrimp, mashed potatoes and rice.It was a wonderful experience.Cheers to Disney magic

Visited earlier this year for a birthday lunch. Our waiter and service were extremely nice. They were hospitable, and happily gave recommendations from the seasonal menu when we asked. The food was delicious! I had two appetizers to equate to one entreeFig Proscuitto Salad: 5/5 Chicken Gumbo: 4.5/5 Market fish and prime rib were also fantastic. Make sure to grab a reservation through the Disneyland app if you're able to, as they don't accept many walk-ins. Meals are definitely on the pricier side, but the service + ambiance of the place make it worth for a special disney experience!

Absolute wonderful experience last night at Blue Bayou for Sweetheart's Night! We made a reservation for 10pm. We checked in on the mobile app at 9:45. We were called 5 minutes later and sat inside. Waited about another 10 minutes before officially being seated. The Sweethearts Night event had a lovely, complimentary photo opportunity near the water during the Pirates ride. It was great! Our server Matt was assigned to us for the night. They had 2 drinks exclusively for Sweethearts Night: wine and champagne. And a brownie dessert. All other food items were part of the regular menu. We also received complimentary waters. We ordered the roasted chicken with extra chicken instead of shrimp (shellfish allergy) for my husband. Matt was very knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to the allergy. I ordered the filet mignon. I noticed the restaurant wasn't too packed. Which I enjoyed. The ambiance is very nice and classy. We didn't sit close to the water. But we still felt like we were sitting outside, which is nice. The food was delicious. And the portions were perfectly sized. We were worried we would be too full. And we did get full. I spent $101 in total, not including tip. I highly recommend checking out Blue Bayou. Next time I would swing by just to try the chicken gumbo! Thanks Matt for the amazing service!

This is an incredible bucket list activity and dream come true. Ever since I was a young girl I've dreamt of having dinner here. Today my dream came true. New Orleans decor and atmosphere. Waiters are great and informative. We had the Chicken Gumbo in a small bowl with a tiny scoop of rice. This dish was too salty for my liking and it really called for more rice. We also had the Fig and prosciutto salad that was delightful. The Monte Cristo was a fluffy delicious plate. Finally the Prime Rib was the best meal. The dish was well served and it could have been shared by two people. Overall, the experience was great! Loved it!!! Good times!

I booked reservations for exactly 11am when they open. We got to the restaurant's entrance by 10:45am and there were a few parties already waiting to be placed on the walk up list. I immediately checked in through the app. However, it is best to check in again with the cast member once they come out with their iPad since a few other parties started checking in for their reservations and were let inside ahead of me. Once I checked in with the cast member, we were instructed to wait inside their waiting room. The servers started calling people's parties by 11am. The hostess was super friendly and our waitress was nice.My husband and I were seated right by the water which was so lovely! I'm really glad we got to finally experience dining here and it honestly exceeded our expectations. The Hurricane cocktail was definitely better than the peach tea with rum, it was sweet and yummy. The chicken gumbo was by far my favorite thing there, I wish they had a larger size as an entree. Very flavorful. The rosemary sea salt brioche was also good, it was a bit dry on the outside but the inside was more moist. The fresh butter certainly helped. I got the Monte cristo. I tried getting it without ham but our waitress said it's already pre-made with ham. It was good and I liked the housemade potato chips. I do wish I got the prime rib instead for a more elevated dish. My husband really enjoyed his sea bass which was the market fish of the day.The restaurant got super busy really quickly. It is one of the hardest places to get reservations for so make sure to get one 60 days in advance if you can as it is a popular dark dining experience that's part of the ride. My husband and I were able to see all the boats passing along the bayou for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The dimmed lighting makes for a romantic atmosphere but also for a magical one. Really enjoyed our time here. It is expensive so this would be a once in a blue moon dining treat for us!

Came here for dinner for four and we had a great time. The filet mignon and prime rib were both tasty and cooked to the perfect medium rare. Service was excellent and ambiance can't be beat. Reservations are hard to come by but I was lucky and managed to snag one a month in advance. Prices are definitely higher but for Disney, it's actually pretty reasonable. Recommended for a nice dinner for special occasions!

Dining here has been a family tradition since I was a child. The adults would stand in line and book a table for lunch and us kids would run off to the rides with the promise to be there or suffer going home early. Heaven forbid! I was worried I would not be able to continue the tradition without having booked early but luckily this time, we got there as they opened and were able to get a walk-in table. We were seated after 15 minutes. The ambiance was still the same which we enjoyed but the menu has definitely been updated. The delicious Mint Julip was an amazing start to our meal. I loved the Rosemary and Sea Salt Brioche, the Chicken Gumbo and the Sunchoke & Pistachio Pesto Pasta. My wife really liked her crab cakes. Our waiter was attentive and entertaining. He stopped by our table often with many Disney jokes. Why could Snow White enter the bar but the Dwarves couldn't? ;-)
