Bixby Classic Burger

I might get a lot of reaction, but I think Bixby classic burger is better than In-N-Out.This is probably one of my favorite burger spots in Long Beach. The owner is so kind. He is always at the window, he buys fresh food every single day, and closes when he sells what he purchased that day. The one thing I will mention that might be considered a negative is that sometimes they close early because they sell out so fast because the food is so good.

Definitely a diamond in the rough. Old school burgers, old school menú, and decent prices for the quality of the burger. I ended up getting a Bixby double with grilled onions ($7) and fries ($4). It's a classic cheeseburger adorned with lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup and steak fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and super tasty.If you don't feel like a burger, then go with the hotdog or whatever is on the special menu! If you're in the area I would definitely drop by and support this local biz. ( There is also a little ice cream shop in the back if you want dessert afterwards!)

Bixby is a small burger shack on the corner of a busy street. It's clean, bright, and modern, and the service is friendly and efficient. The ordering system is through a walk up window. There are a few picnic style tables in front but most people get their food to-go. I ordered a couple of burgers, chili cheese fries, and a corn dog. The burgers were pretty tasty but nothing wow. The corn dog was also good. But the chili cheese fries had an unusual flavor, kind of a tangy which I didn't care for. Although I wasn't impressed by what I ordered, they have a secret not so secret menu that looks interesting.

Nice place to get a quick bite! I got a cheeseburger no lettuce-tomato. Really like the fact that they toast the bun. Plenty of sauce. Service was quick and there was quickly forming a line. The tables were clean, shady and no trash around. Honestly, it tastes like In n Out, & they even have a Secret Menu! Very good tasting burger. Can't wait to try the specialty dogs!

First time trying this burger spot. Showed up at 4:20pm and had my food by 4:25. Girl taking my order wasn't the nicest, seems like she waiting for 6pm to close up. Saw the cook making my burger, not fresh the patty was already pre cooked so he just warmed it up. Fries were refried again. So that's why it took under 5 minutes. Food was okay, nothing crazy. Place is clean

This is a little burger place. It's a little bit bigger than a shack. But it's pretty small. They have old school diner barstools around the counter on the outside, and three covered picnic tables. The menu is small. But it's pretty classic.I got a Bixby Double Combo. The fries were good and cooked well. The burger had thick slices of American cheese, onions, tomatoes, and 1000 island dressing. The burger was tasty. But it's nothing like In-n-Out, as some of the reviews said. It's a well made basic burger.The service was fast and pleasant. It's a neat little place. Unfortunately, it has limited hours (10-6 m-sat), so I won't have many opportunities to come back. But if i'm in the mood for a burger at lunch near home, I'd come back. It was pretty good and the price was fair.

Decent burger and fries. It was definitely better a few years ago, though. The meat, veggies to bun ratio on the cheeseburger leaves much to be desired. Really thin burger patty that didn't fill out the bun and the huge white stem parts of iceberg lettuce were my biggest gripes this visit, enough to warrant a review finally. Everything else on the burger was good. Fries were fried to perfection.Guess you really have no choice but to get a double double or their "speciality" options to get the full experience, I suppose. The gentleman taking my order was super nice though. Hope the best for them.

I was craving a burger and this place had positive reviews and I'm so glad I visited. Service was fast and food was hot! Menu is to the point - burgers or hot dogs. Huge fan of the fries!! Parking is easy too, will definitely visit again

I saw that this establishment was near me so I decided to give it a shot. I haven't had a burger in a while and Bixby Classic makes me want to go back tomorrow. I usually just order a single but the guy ahead of me recommended the double. When I got the bag it felt heavy. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it. But as I started taking a bite next thing I knew I had devoured it! Very solid classic American cheeseburger. The fries were good too because I don't like salty fries and these were just right.

Can't say enough nice things about this place! Food is excellent, service is excellent, and price is great. Happy to have them in bixby!
