A new owner rebuilt this place, and he personally hand-picks the ingredients--especially the salmon! Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell that each ingredient is of the highest quality.I usually don't enjoy eating poke bowls because the raw fish often doesn't taste fresh, but this place has rekindled my love for them! The owner is also super friendly and welcoming.10/10 for the freshness of every ingredient. If you're a salmon lover, I highly recommend trying this place! I also highly recommend their boba; it's perfectly sweet, chewy, and melts in your mouth like honey. The space is clean, spacious, and the staff is so nice! I'll definitely be coming back, and for all the poke lovers out there--you won't be disappointed!

Heartbroken. My family and I have officially broken up with this spot.I'm so bummed. Where do I even start? Last week (01/24/2025), I walked in, and something just felt... off. The first thing I noticed was that both entrance doors were wide open. Then, while waiting to be helped, I realized it was uncomfortably hot inside. I also noticed that the usual women who assist customers weren't there. Instead, there was a young man and an older gentleman. Now, let's talk about the food--because this was the real heartbreak. The portion sizes were *laughably* small. I genuinely thought I was on an episode of Punk'd. Four tiny pieces of salmon in one scoop? They skimped on the fixings too--barely any crab meat or edamame. By the time I finished my medium bowl, I was left with a ton of rice and greens. Paying $16+ for what was essentially a rice and salad bowl? It also just didn't hit the spot. Beyond disappointing. To be fair, the older gentleman was very kind. The young man, however, was painfully slow with his service. The only positive change? They replaced the fountain machine. But honestly, that's not enough to make up for everything else. After 7+ years of coming here, I'm sad to say we won't be back. It's not worth my money.

Bay Poke is so yummy! I had the spicy salmon poke bowl w/ the spicy lover sauce...perfectly fresh and flavorful. The rice was great, and the ingredients were super fresh. Brownie points for the miso soup, that was a nice touch! I will definitely be back.

It was my first visit and I didn't expect much, but I was surprised that it was even tastier and the ingredients were fresher. There are a variety of drinks and the interior of the store is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for visiting with friends or a lover. I definitely plan to visit again next time.

I haven't been here for a long time but recently the weather was so hot so I happen to be around here so stopped by and ordered small bowl of Poke. It was sooo good. I've heard that it is under new ownership not too long ago. Service was improved and the quality of fishes was so fresh and good. I've call few more friends to join me and they all liked it.

I'm a big fan of sushi, so I decided to check this place out after hearing that their fish is super fresh. It turned out even better than I expected! The place was clean, the staff were really friendly, and the new owner, with years of experience running a sushi restaurant, personally prepares the fresh ingredients which made it feel really trustworthy. Of course, the food was amazing, and the medium portion was just the right amount for a satisfying lunch. It's not exactly close to my house, but I don't think I'll be able to pass by this area without stopping here again!

Had a surprising experience at this poke place. Typically, I do not have high expectations for fast food poke places, or any establishment serving poke in general (EXCEPT Foodland supermarket poke in Hawaii... they got amazing stuff), but this place is definitely better than other poke places I've had nearby (within 10 mile radius). I would even go as far as saying the salmon is of a higher quality and better prepared than many restaurants where I've ordered salmon nigiri at. I am not sure whether it's the preparation, the sourcing of the fish, or a combination of the two but the slices were prepared very well in that each piece tasted, the best way I can describe it as, "smooth". With a some sushi restaurants (and many poke shops) their salmon sometimes has inconsistencies in it like connective tissues or something like that, which makes for a non-uniform mouth feel. The salmon I had here (I ordered the sakedon) was very uniform in terms of fat striation, the texture was consistent throughout all pieces, and the flavor tasted like how I remembered the sashimi I had in Hawaii tasted. Also, that the salmon texture was not "frozen and defrosted". What I mean by this is that when you bite into it, the meat is "grainy". The best way I can describe it is the difference with fresh poke and previously frozen poke at Foodland (please try these if you get a chance to... again they are amazing); the fresh poke when you bite into it, your teeth cut through kind of like butter, where as the frozen poke as a little bit of resistance and it tastes like some meat fibers are not connected (probably due to the freezing and thawing breaking down the cells). But the salmon at Bay Poke, while not at the level of fresh poke since I'm pretty sure all salmon sashimi served in the CONUS has to be previously frozen, is about as close to fresh poke that I've had outside of a few dedicated sushi/sashimi restaurants. One thing that was interesting to me was the sauce selection. They have a decently large sauce selection and recommended pairings that has your standard spicy mayo, ponzu, and wasabi as well as other more exotic combinations (especially with Korean influences like gochujang). I tried my wife's poke bowl which had the sweet heart (I think) sauce and didn't really like it (not that the sauce was bad but it overpowered the fish taste). I'd recommend asking for sauce on the side here; at a typical poke shop I would just opt for sauce mixed in because the fish isn't spectacular in terms of flavor, but here it seems like kind of a waste to cover up the taste of good quality fish. If anything, maybe have them mix the sauce with the other toppings and then add the fish on top, so at least the other items like the masago, onions, and other toppings have sauce. Then you can pick and choose whether to mix it in with your fish.Moving on to the establishment itself, the staff was very nice and helpful with the whole poke bowl creation process, though I did go on a Saturday so there were far less customers there than I imagine on a weekday. Everything seemed clean and I appreciated them having a sign saying to let the staff known if you don't plan to eat your bowl for a while so they can package the rice and the fish separately; that's a nice touch that I have not seen at other places and now I am wondering why because it is a valid food safety concern if you leave raw fish on top of hot rice for too long. Everything looks clean and well maintained (though they just changed ownership so I will have to see how the upkeep goes). One thing that does bother me is that it seems a little cluttered in the far end counter/shelf area right under the menu screens. It doesn't affect the poke / topping area since that area is your very standard poke serving line, but they also have chips and other snacks and stuff on the counter opposite of the poke bar area, which just makes it look a little cluttered. I get that it's hard to find places to put everything in a store with that footprint, so I can't really deduct a star. The tables were about when you expect for a fast food place, so nothing special, but they were clean which is good. And the last part of this is the price. I went in expecting poke prices and I was not disappointed; as with all raw fish places, it is not going to be the same price as a Chipotle bowl (although it's only a few dollars more expensive than Chipotle's burrito bowl so... I probably would pay more to have the Bay Poke bowl than a Chipotle burrito). The price looks about consistent with other nearby, fast food poke places (give or take $1 or so). The portion sizing is pretty much in line with other poke places, so all in all the price of a bowl is in line with the industry average. So quantity / $ it is about average, but QUALITY / $ it is punching way above its class.
