Eat like a BAOS.Though high-key, I come here for the dark meat Hai Nan Chicken Rice - FAVORITE OF ALL TIME IN THE OC!!!Sounds like a simple & plain dish, but let me tell you... it is SO SAVORY & FLAVORFUL, including the rice itself, which was also not sticky. I try to savor each bite because the chicken is just that JUICY, no ginger or hot sauce needed to boost the taste. Out of all the Hai Nan Chicken I've tried in OC, this place has the strongest deep flavor.The shop next door was selling duck and inspired me to try Duck Bao. Yuuum taste like peking duck. Also got the Bolsa Bao (pork belly).. loved the crispy outer skin.A nice bonus, I like the texture of the thinly sliced green onions on both the chicken & baos.You can watch them slice your chicken & assemble your baos from behind the glass. Self serve ice water & toss your own trash/stack tray when done. Casual vibe, upbeat with the EDM playing hahaFew small tables of 2 that can be push together for parties of 4 or 6. Plenty of parking in the plaza area.

The bun itself is soft and good. Big portions but I feel as if the meat inside is lacking flavor. We gotSteak-the meat quality is good but there wasn't much flavor. BBQ Pork-lacking the flavor on the char sui but with a little hoisin sauce it was good. Duck-this is the one that was really good, the duck flavor, the bun and the fresh cucumbers. Overall, the portions are big and meat filling is generous, bun has a nice texture to it.Located inside the plaza where the Hoa Binh market is.

Thanks to IG. Drove all the way from LA to try this and it didn't disappoint. OMG the buns are delectable, nice and fluffy. So far the best one I had. Their rice plate is very good, fresh and tasty. Portions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable. Quick and friendly service. I would definitely recommend!!

Baos Hog located in the iconic red plaza off Brookhurst and Westminster offers some delicious dishes. Plenty of parking and the scenery of the place was a good sign of good food. The service was okay and I ordered the ribeye fries, I didn't see this item on the menu but it was extremely well worth it.This meal hit so hard and the ribeye was super tender.

The Hainan chicken was a bit dry and didn't stand out much. However, I did enjoy the duck over rice, though it was quite fatty. Next time, I think I'll try their baos!

I'm a regular at this fantastic spot, and it's become my go-to for a quick and mouthwatering meal! The food here is consistently amazing, and I always find myself returning for my favorites. This year, however, they promoted a new gem: the wings!Starting with the Hainan Chicken (dark meat) paired with the roasted pork, it still delivers that first-bite magic! The chicken is always incredibly juicy, and I appreciate the generous servings of flavorful sauces that come with it. Now, let's talk about the wings--what a delightful addition! They are perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The flavors are bold, and they definitely hit the spot for any wing lover! Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough! The welcoming service from Mikey and Brittney always makes me feel at home, and their attentiveness just enhances the experience. Food is delicious and priced well. The service is very good. The ambassador ambiance is a small fun fast food area. Love this place

Yummy! So happy my bf and I found this spot :') It wasn't too busy at 11AM on a Sunday, and we got our food within 5-10 minutes of ordering. We got the roast duck rice, roast pork rice, duck bao, and bolsa bao. All of the orders were good serving sizes, but the duck in the rice order was a little skinny and meatless LOL,, nonetheless very yummy and the huge piece of duck in the bao made up for it :') The roast pork was crispy and juicy,, very good!Overall, the meat itself was a little on the light side and not as salty as other roast duck/roast pork. I would order the rice orders again!Friendly service and they played really good music so that's a plus :D
