Banh Bao Ca Can

New Banh Bao (Vietnamese Dumplings) shop has a regular and special option for the Banh Bao. Inside they also offer xiu mai and other viet finger foods for pickup. Got both and they were good. Paid $9 for both so assuming regular is $4 and the special is $5? The special dumpling just has clear rice noodles and tasted more like a marinated meatball. Would check them out if you're in the plaza but wouldn't go out of my way since nothing stood out.

This was my first time trying Vietnamese buns!! I'm Chinese so have had a lot of Chinese buns in past. This is kind of similar but the buns are stuffed with a variety of meats and also an egg!! I've never had an egg within a bun but it was delicious. The outside of the bun itself was nice and hot and texture was soft and very fresh. The meat itself was also good and tender! Looks like a little mom and pop shop when you enter more for grab and go. Makes for a delicious snack :)

I don't know what so hyped about this place, but the bun wasn't good compared to my liking. I bought the special one $5.50, and it wasn't worth it. The filling was tasted like they had been made for a while, a little sour not fresh.

Eat it right when you buy it! It's so delicious, hot, and fresh!! I hope this place lasts because it's hard to find a good banh bao place -even in garden grove

I stopped by this location today because it's closer than the first "Ca Can" at Wesminster,which is next to my office, just 4 minutes away. I understand the pricing difference from the Westminster location: $11.55 in total ($3.85 each), as they have already included the tax in the price! This place is kind of smaller than Westminster and doesn't have any tables. Maybe it's for takeout only, lol.

Good pork buns, very juicy and flavorful. Besides, the young male is very helpful. Definitely will return to buy more pork buns

Banh Bao has the best banh bao! Excellent and friendly service . I come here to buy banh bao (buns) every time I come to Orange County !

We were kind of excited to see the name of this shop. Actually, we have been looking around for quite some time to find tasty banh bao, but without success.However, the greater was the disappointment once we tried these banh bao. Please do not let the name misguide you! We don't recommend this shop. Btw, we only tried the banh bao, but not their hu tiu.

Banh Bao is okay and the noodle soup is just standard. Nothing special. Very disappointed.
