Went to Baleen to celebrate Valentine's Day. The service was great, the restaurant aesthetics were nice, clean and classy and food was delicious!There's valet parking only BUT it's validated for 2 hours!Definitely new date night spot.

Server was great - food really below average, small portions on the scallops and cod, tiny. BLAND food, the calamari is very odd: not breaded like usual, strips of chewy bland something with sausage in a broth with jalapeños...very strange DO NOT ORDER. The cioppino was bland and not good, and there were unopened mussels, which is a total no go! Atmosphere kinda cool but LOUD. Thank you to the Manager who notified we were not pleased and took care of a couple of dishes.

Definitely a mixed experience at Baleeen Kitchen.On the plus side: I had the cod reuben with fries which was a fabulous take on the traditional Reuben. The fish was well cooked and flavorful, and the crispy French fries were an absolutely appropriate and delicious addition to the sandwich. BaleenKitchen also have a very nice wine selection. Unfortunately, it was exactly 40 minutes from the time I sat down at my table to when my meal was delivered. And while I understand, that kitchens can get busy during the lunch rush, I was one of three tables in the dining room, so it's hard to imagine that the kitchen was overwhelmed. My "quick" lunch took almost an hour and a half from start to finish with no apology or explanation from the wait staff as to why things were taking so long. The food was delicious, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt that the pace of the meal was an anomaly! Edit; yes, I know it says card instead of cod in my review, despite changing it to cod and even trying fish instead of cod, for some reason, Yelp continues to use the incorrect spelling ‍

Fabulous place for HH! Love the view, love the food, Baleen sliders, mushroom flatbread, the clam chowder, all yummy!! Ashley was our server and did a fabulous job.

My parents, siblings and I are here celebrating an early Thanksgiving Dinner. Each of our families thought an early gathering was best to reduce the stress. As soon as we arrived and walked inside, the decor was exquisite. We ordered 3 Baleen Burgers, a Swordfish meal, 2 bowls of Clam Chowder and Spicy Tuna Tacos. Everything was scrumptious. Our server S. Greer was absolutely fantastic. She was conscientious, caring and spot on. When you are in the South Bay, stop by Baleen Kitchen. Your meal and service will be out of this world.

If you frequent or live in the South Bay Area of LA, Baleen is a must. The food quality and availability of choice, service, ambiance (to include the hands down best view of the Marina), and mixologists (Ashley is the best) makes this place the most underrated restaurant in Redondo. Menu ranges from spicy tuna fish tacos, to a ribeye, to homemade pasta. And if you're searching for a quality and hearty breakfast, look no further. Stop messing around and get to Baleen!

Had breakfast and started with a basket of delicious pastries and enjoyed my breakfast. Hannah did a great job serving us and the view of the harbor was nice from the second floor. It's located right across the street from the Portofino Hotel so no need to drive and look for a place.

Gorgeous fine dining and delicious food with excellent service. It's a nice place for a celebratory meal like a bday or anniversary, but also appropriate for just an elegant low key dinner.There's a Beautiful dining room upstairs for an elegant dinner, plus an area downstairs that overlooks the marina that's great for breakfast. I've had both dinner and breakfast here, plus gotten room service from Baleen and it's always a great experience.Portions are good for the price, and the food is delicious, fresh and chef crafted, providing a great value.

I met a group of girlfriends here for brunch on a Sunday. The table was ready when we arrived and the waitress was so patient with us while we spent more time chatting instead of looking at the menu. The food choices were good and we all struggled with picking our dishes. All the food came out together and everything was very good. The atmosphere and views were very pleasant as well.

Came here for a wedding party as well as for brunch the next day and loved the food here. They did Buffet style for the wedding party and my favorite was the tomato soup. The steak and fish were alright, I much preferred the sides over anything else. The workers were nice and filled our wine glasses up. Brunch was amazing. The view overlooked the marina and I ordered the eggs Benedict which was massive and did not disappoint. The price was fair for the portion. It came with a little side salad, tons of crispy potatoes and the eggs Benedict which were cooked perfectly and the sauce was incredible. Overall loved this place for all meals. Beautiful location too.
