Backstage Coffeehouse

Perfect place to just hang out and sip on something from their very large (cheap) menu. My personal favorites are the Island Oasis smoothies and the hazelnut lattes. Love the decor, super homey and has a cool theme.

Coffee shop with the ballet studio that also sells dance merch. I was half looking for a cigarette vending machine to complete the ballerina stereotype of them living off of caffeine and cigarettes.Our barista/cashier was fast, hardworking and super nice.Good Iced Latte.Street parking.

This place is very cute and comfortable. My americano was good and the menu is fairly big including fruit smoothies, frappes and even hot dogs. The counter girl said it';s mostly staffed by students from next door and she was extremely friendly and helpful.I can see this place becoming a regular hang-out.

This is a coffee house attached to the Long Beach Ballet Arts Center at the same address. It has smoothies, coffee (espresso, etc.), and various dance stuff for sale.It's brand new and the staff (young dancers from the studio, I believe) are still learning. But the decor looks like a backstage and has a cool spiral staircase to a second floor seeting area. Both the smoothies and the coffee are good. I am happy there is a coffee house here to replace Oasis which I miss desparately.That said, there is a constant influx of parents with their children for dance class here. For that reason, I think I will always have to get my espresso to go...

Coffee was great. I had a Petite Almarretto Flavored Cappuccino. Very cozy feel and prices are pretty darn good. Beats Starbucks for sure. The service I recieved was very friendly. They are just opening up for the public so it's not so busy at the moment, but I can really see this shop doing well. Please support this local, non-corporate business if you want coffee and are in the area
