Avenue 3 Pizza Subs & Catering

We've ordered the godfather pizza a couple of times for get togethers and it is always a hit! The pizza is HUGE and the crust is delicious.

Yooooooooooooooo! One if the oldest pizza places in Artesia-Cerritos and I consider a staple for pizza in my area. I usually order a 3 topping meatball, ricotta cheese and basil pizza, I ask them to put the basil after they cook it so it doesn't burn and its still fresh after the pizza comes out which always comes out better. The service is always on time when I phone order for it to be ready at a specific time they are always on time boxed and everything ready for pick-up. My families goto is there Philly cheese steak pizza and that also taste amazing too, perfect amount of toppings and baked perfectly not burnt so the next day if I air fry the pizzas they still taste amazing. So we always order 2-3 boxes because 2-3 day pizza is still yummy from this spot. For appetizers I always get the large fried zucchini but the small and large size are quite similar last time I ordered the large fried zucchini it seems to be as small as the small version unless they may have just made a mistake that one time but the crispiness and since its my favorite appetizers i sometimes just look the other way. Their ranch dressing is one of the best ranches in the neighborhood for sure. Every-time me and family orders from here we just come to pick it up so never really checked the ambiance of the place but its quite quiet every time we visit. For desserts I once in a while treat myself 1 one of the cheese cake because its not too sweet from Ave 3 so its perfect for my family.

This place has been around a long time, at least since I was in HS (graduated 1985). I even knew someone that worked there. Back in the day, the pizza was great and even years later, they let my sister and I order a pizza late if we promised to get there by 11 pm, their closing time. We really needed it since our mom was in the hospital and we really need some comfort food. Well, that personable customer service is now a distant memory. I was craving a meatball sandwich and my dad was craving a pastrami sandwich. There were people waiting including three cops. The place was clean and still had that homey Italian neighborhood vibe it always had. But that's where the nostalgia stopped. There was only one guy working doing all the cooking, serving, and taking orders. At least three parties were waiting for their food. To his credit, he did call out when I rang the service bell. When he took my order, he was disinterested and impersonal. I thought he just had one of those east coast types of attitudes, so that didn't bother me much. So, ok, I get that he was busy. I chalked up his brusque demeanor to being short-staffed. I ordered the pastrami combo meal and a meatball sandwich. For some weird unknown reason, the pastrami combo deal only came in the regular size, not the larger size. All things considered, the wait was reasonable. I was looking forward to a good ol' fashioned meatball sandwich. Once I got it home and we started eating, it was underwhelming. The pastrami sandwich was dull and too skimpy. The meatball sandwich was lacking in spices with both the meatballs and the sauce. It was a pretty good portion and there was a good sauce to meatball ratio, but it didn't really matter. It was lifeless, as if his apathy came through in his cooking. I had to add my own Italian spices to help it along. Still, business was steady the 25 minutes I was waiting, so I must be missing something others are enjoying. Oh well. I'm glad some people like it or at least find it convenient.

Avenue 3 Cerritos is really good. I really enjoy there pizzas, there subs, and especially there fettuccine with chicken. The customer service is very good, I'm always greeted at the door and usually pick up my order.

Quality has gone down so much the past couple of years. Super thin pizza and extremely low portion sizes!

I tend to take for granted some of the places that I've been going to even as a kid. As far as I can remember, it was 1976 when I first had Avenue 3 food. It was the godfather sub that got be hooked to this place. I'm sure this place has gone through many management changes and maybe even ownership, but the one thing to me that is still the same, are the delicious pizzas and subs. They've been around so long, I don't think to leave a review because I figure if you know, you know. Freshness is always the key to a nice tasty pizza, so if you can't eat it there, I hope you live near by so you can eat it when it's nice and hot. I see some of the one star reviews. I guess you just can't please everybody.

Came here twice in the same week. Haven't had this place in years. Ordered a sub and soup the first time. This time I ordered a meatball sub and a XL one topping pizza. The meatball sub was great! The bread was soft and toasty and the sauce in the sub is really good. The pizza was delicious, I've been looking for a pizza like this in a long time. This will be my new go to pizza spot. Plus they have specials during the week, today is Thursday so it's a XL one topping pizza for $19.99. Service was great and the place inside is clean with cool New York artwork.

Delicious homemade pizza. Better than what I've found in a while and because of that, I'm making this our new family pizza place. Employees were very polite, helpful and accommodating. Called ahead and ordered to set up a pick up time, no problem. Inside is kept clean and organized. Hope to be back soon for pizza night!

Great sandwiches and fried zucchini at very reasonable prices. This place is not going to wow you but it is reliable, quick, and affordable - which is enough to keep me happy most of the time. The pizza is doughyier than a NY slice but flavor (and grease) wise it is pretty close. Bottomline, it's better than a chain pizza and most other options. I like having this place nearby and usually end up ordering from them about 3x a month.

Love their hot meatball sandwich and lasagna! Delicious! Haven't been back here in years ... food is still good!
