Amazing new handrolls in Fullerton!!I want not expecting much since there's so many handroll places popping up in this area. The ambience is super elegant and chic. I was seated at the bar area right away. Super quick and efficient by staff.I recommend getting the 5 handroll set menu. I love their miso soup and also their ato lemonade. Solid place for a date night !!

Found this place while driving by. Wanted some sushi but found this hand roll place so we decided to give it a try. So here's my take on this place.Food was pretty good. I highly recommend the yellowtail roll as well as the crab roll. My wife like the salmon roll as well as the tuna roll. We also tried the yellowtail carpaccio which was fresh and tasty. The yuzu ice cream was delicious.Atmosphere is simple and quaint. It's just bar seating but spaced well enough that you're not rubbing shoulders with your neighbor. They just opened recently so they were still working out a few bugs, but overall they did a good job with service. Highly recommend giving them a try and judge for yourself. Don't think you'll be disappointed....especially if you like places like Kazu Nori which is our usual go to place for hand rolls. Shorter wait time and cheaper price.

This is a brand new hand roll bar that popped up in Fullerton. We came in for lunch on a Saturday. The service was so nice and friendly. The prices are very budget friendly, and the fish quality is very fresh. It's honestly very affordable: the lowest set menu is 4 hand rolls for $22. Hand rolls a la carte are about $6 each. My favorite rolls were the blue crab hand roll and the truffle salmon hand roll. The crab was very fresh and crabby. The truffle salmon was clean and had a strong truffle taste. They also let us try a new yuzu sauce that isn't on the menu yet. It was very yummy - bright yuzu flavor with a hint of spiciness. Honestly, everything yuzu here is very good. The yuzu lemonade, the yuzu sauce, and yuzu sorbet - you can definitely taste the yuzu in everything. The restaurant is very nice and modern. If there is a business that deserves to succeed, it's this one. Definitely check them out!

Really wanted to like this new spot but after tonight's experience I don't think I will ever be returning. You can see for yourself that the size and ratio of the roll is terrible compared to local known spots. Waited 45 min to be sat only to receive frozen tartar. Food was mid but experience was terrible. Save yourself the disappointment , GO TO ROL!

First time trying it as they just opened a little over a week ago. ATO took the place of Chicken University. As you walk in, there's about 12 seats. The ambience and decorations are simple and nice. The wait staff was friendly. It wasn't very busy and hopefully things will pick up for this small place. The menu is pretty straight forward and you order directly with the server. The hand rolls are made to order and appetizers were all good and deserving of 4/5 stars. The only reason why I'm rating it 4 stars is their hand rolls menu is limited in comparison to places like ROL and other hand roll bars. Maybe they'll expand their menu. As for the highlights, their beef tartare was really good. It's served with small chunks of Asian pears and was really refreshing. Another perk is they provide real wasabi. The tempura batter on the shrimp was a really nice texture, and not too heavy.

Ato Hand Roll Bar is amazingly delicious! We got the 6 piece set with spicy garlic edamame, yellowtail carpaccio and the beef tartare I loved every single bite, the yuzu sauce I could take home, it has a nice honeyed sweet and spicy! Perfect with all the hand rolls and especially the Eel hand roll. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, we went on a sprinkling early afternoon and got the best experience. June the manager explained the hand roll portion process, the yummy sauces and what's to come in the next month. Loved their presentation and fish quality. The bar itself is a classic Japanese roll bar, very muted tones and chic ambiance, a great place to catch up with friends. We are definitely looking forward to coming back soon. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Great job for your first week open.

Amazing food handroll in oc service was great, she really made sure the rolls was ready the server her she is soooo exceptionally friendly. Ambiance and the atmosphere is very high end.

Went here the other day with the lady, workers were very nice and helpful. The space was intimate but the food was really good! Forgot to take photos of the food...but it was delicious please believe me

New handroll bar in town! The handrolls are great! They weren't overly stuffed with rice like some other places I've been to. Also, the texture of the nori was just right - crunchy with every bite. (Pro tip: order the yuzu sauce on the side as they pair really well with some of their selections.) Also recommend their drinks as well! I got the Yuzu lemonade and it was refreshing and had the right amount of sweetness. The service was amazing too. Our waiter was very attentive to our requests and our menu items came out quickly without us needing to constantly wait. Recommend this place for anyone looking to treat themselves to some good hand rolls.
