I pass by here literally almost everyday and finally decided to check it out. I shared a bowlof Ramen with my son and loved it. He was like, why can't you get your own bowl because he loved it too. He did request for extra noodles. It was kind of late when my son got out of practice so it was cool to know that they're open a little later. The service was really good and our food came out in a timely manner. There were people coming in and out even at 9pm. The ambience is a little darker than most places but it's not a thing at all. If you're hungry and in Torrance, this is the place for late night eats.

I came across this restaurant coz we wanted some soup. We accidentally went to the wrong place. Got inside the place and it looks old. Don't be deceived, the food is Amazing! The service is a little slow but it's worth the wait.

This place is great because it's open late. It's not the best ramen but it's good enough for those nights when you are craving ramen and nothing is open or about to close. We have eaten here at normal dinner hours and not just late night. The service is quick and friendly. This time we ordered:GyozaShio RamenMiso RamenThe shio ramen has a better flavor than the miso ramen. I was trying something new. I normally order the Kotteri Ramen. Try it! Enjoy!

I just got back from Japan and ran across this place in Gardena while in business. The hours they are open to def caught my eye. The place def has character and years of it. The chef greeted me and sat me at the bar. I was then greeted by the waiter who apparently just painted as he was covered with specks of paint. The menu is straight forward and has a bit to offer than standard ramen joint. I was a bit hungry so ordered karaage and a large kayteeri shoyu ramen. The karaage was piping hot when it was served with a side of mayo. The chicken texture was so airy and light. The batter thickness and texture was very good as all. The mayo works fine with it but I'm certain it would be amazing with any sauce. The flavor of the Kayteeri shoyu ramen was a bit on the stronger side for my taste. At the same time, if you compare seasoning levels in general in Japan vs in the US, that's typical. Perhaps because I just returned from a trip recently and have to recalibrate. Overall I didn't enjoy the ramen as it was somewhat typical. Overall 3 stars but karaage and authenticity pushed it up to 4.

This is definitely an unassuming, no frill Japanese eatery. I absolutely love their ramen. I really enjoy the bursting of flavor and the simplicity of the topping. For the price point, it is very hard to beat ($9.45 for a gigantic bowl). I always order the fire ramen, comes with some grounded pork and an egg. While you can't compare to a $15 ramen bowl, this place is definitely my favorite in Gardena when I just want some quick ramen. The noodles are done to perfection and service was quick.

It's a good cheap place to hang out if you are looking for something simple when it's getting late. It's not a fancy Ramen place. The soup is not as salty as many places so it has a better Asian tastebud. Some dish like a simple seaweed salad is way over priced, but the ramen orders are not bad. They are stripped down and if you want more stuff like an egg to your order, you'll have to order that on it. The place is kind of dark and not the cleanest. It's really old school. For a while they did not even have an English sign outside. It's not for everyone, but I would try it to expand your options especially when you are hungry when many restaurants are closed already.

Great late-night haunt since they close at midnight-- I always come here if I'm in the Torrance/Gardena area. This is the cheapest ramen within a 10-20 mile radius, and it's equally as good as their competitors. To make a quick comparison, I'm directly comparing this to Shinsengumi because of price and quality. $12 for a basic large bowl of ramen AND they're open till late at night? My wallet's happy and so is my stomach. Service is always good, the older server is always upbeat and respectful. The lighting is dark and moody, but it adds to the charm of the restaurant and the whole "hole in the wall" charm. The bar next door is also a nice touch. I wish I lived closer to this area, because I'd be going every weekend.

The place seemed a bit dirty on the inside. Also, when the waiter brought me my water, there was a peace of paper at the bottom of my cop. Then, the pot stickers came to our table, & they had a pretty good taste to them

Horrible ramen place! The place smells cigarette. We asked for a straw and this is what they gave us. I told the guy that we can't drink using these. Instead of apologizing, he insisted that this is a straw not a coffee stirrer.Don't waste your money here.

I'm not sure if it was because of the time (12am) or because I was just hungry, but the food here was great. I was originally going to get the miso ramen, but they had ran out. I was trusting the server with the food choice because I didn't know what to get and he did not disappoint. He chose the Fire Bowl Ramen and since I'm not much into spice, it was a bit spicy for me but just enough for me to be able to eat it and enjoy it. This ramen also came in a large bowl, it was pretty cool. I highly recommend to stop by and try it:).
