I don't often leave reviews like this, but I had such a random and awful experience here that I had to leave a warning. My girlfriend and I came in to get some drinks for dinner. We'd been here several times before and had a perfectly pleasant time with the man behind the register. We love supporting small businesses. Today, a different man was behind the counter. When we walked inside, he stared at us. It's hard to tell someone's making faces at you from behind a mask, but he made it very clear that he wasn't happy about us being there. We shopped around and put our beer on the counter getting ready to pay. We both pulled out our ID's and got ready to show him. He stared for a moment and then said "who's buying it?" My girlfriend said that she was, and at the same time I offered to show my ID as well. He then told me "no. You can go." My girlfriend asked if there was a problem and he said "just leave your ID on the counter and step away." He then made another comment under his breath and we decided it was time for us to leave. My girlfriend told him to forget it and we'll go somewhere else, while trying to put the beer back in the fridge. He adamantly told us no and to just leave it on the counter and leave. So we did, and we won't be returning. The other man had always been nothing but pleasant but this guy really ruined it for us.Update, per response from the owner: I understand that many changes need to be made in order to follow guidelines but I would like to mention that 1. Your mask was not even on correctly while we were in the store (hanging below your nose) and 2. You were rude every single step of the transaction. That goes way beyond "being safe during COVID". There is most definitely a way to follow guidelines, while also being kind (and following those guidelines yourself). In no way should anyone expect special treatment in a transaction such as this, but all people should be treated with the same respect that was shown. I have been to several business during COVID and have not once been treated as poorly as I was during this visit. I sincerely hope some safety and interpersonal skills training is implemented before returning.

RUDE! Plain rude, bullied my friend and I out of the store... for no reason. Stood back and said "get out I don't have time for you." I've been going to this place for years. Never again.

I went to buy a Smirnoff Peach bottle on August 19, 2017 around 7:30-8 pm. I accidentally pulled my card before the machine approved, so the clerk asked me to put in my card again to start all over. I was charged $17.63 twice basically and I'm coming back tomorrow to get some sort of refund. I'll change my review if I get some sort of refund. I'm not suppose to be charged twice. He commented I was wearing a zero shirt and no one in the store greeted me or said good bye to me when I said good bye. I also signed a paper and I didn't get a copy of my receipt.UPDATE: they gave me a refund but it still has not come back to my bank account yet. I'm waiting..

Super Convenient if you live in the Cal State Area and don't want to have to drive to the grocery store or CVS for liquor if you are hosting a party and run out of libations - EEK!!This is the one right next to the 24 hour Kinko's off of Atherton.This is the only liquor store close to Cal State on Palo Verde that carries hard liquor and doesn't overcharge TOO much for all of it. In fact they do have specials on occasion. Candy raid before the movies are pretty good here too. Check out the dollar bin for mini liquor bottles. They also have the cutest little $2.50 Patron Bottles!

Easy in and easy out - that's what I love about this place.The guys that work here are nice - they have lots of selections - they have drive thru parking spots (since I can't waste my time backing out of my spot, this is perfect!, helps me get in and out of here faster - lol) - and they are located in an easy to get to spot.Be forewarned - I think it's like $1 to $1.50 to use a credit card - I've been charged both prices (but they don't tell you that or have an obvious sign up) and last time I was there, I noticed the guy rounded my "bill" up to an even number (not that the penny is killing me, it's just surprising to me that he did it).Overall: I come here when I'm in a rush (obviously) but I don't go out of my way to get here.

I have lived near by for years. They have always been good neighbors. I've recently had medical issues and they have been Johnny On The Spot for my needs. These guys are truly "friends of the family and our community"!! What?

Overpriced. No wonder it looks so beat up with no funds coming in. Went to get a bottle of Jameson. The bottle is normally like $22 at a local cvs. However, there was no signs up. Owner pretends to look around, punching in random numbers. And he told me $35. Wtf! How is that $35. You will loose a lot of customers by practicing this bad business procedures. Stay away! Owners are ripping you off!!
