Alder & Sage

I love Alders & Sage, the food is great and the atmosphere is so beautiful and lovely. I love the look both inside and outside. The service is good, even when it's busy. They still manage to get everything on time to your table. Prices are what you expect for a restaurant like this in Long Beach. For a part of two, you can expect anywhere from $40-$70 dollars depending on what you order and drinks, and a tip. Overall, I always keep coming back to this business and being my friends just because of how much I enjoy it. 10/10

Had to come back and add some more photos of the beautiful and tasty food Alder & Sage serves. My partner and I sat outside this was our Valentine's Day brunch paired with London Fogs it was wonderful Service here is always great never leaving you to sit and wait/wonder where they are.Everything on this menu from drinks to food is fantastic Great spot for a girls brunch or brunch with your partner

Love this place; great atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food. I had the whiskey caramel latte and it was so delicious. It had the whiskey flavor without the alcohol with beautiful presentation too. The chicken Milanese was divine, chicken was flavorful and so moist you could cut it with a fork. The patio is so relaxing and they grow their own herbs for their food. I saw a chef come out and grab something and head back to the kitchen.

This is one of the cutest brunch spots I've been to. I used to live out in the Long Beach area, but it's been a while every time I come back there's always a new hidden gem to discover for girls brunch. We chose this place because you can easily make reservations, the ambience is really pretty and relaxing, and the food looks really good.We shared a few dishes, like the French toast which was our sweet dish, for savory we had the sausages which were a little bit more on the sweet side than expected, and then we had the Turkish eggs which come on a pink bed of cream sauce highly recommend it. It was really good and very aesthetic.We didn't have any cocktails, but stuck to tea and coffee.There is a public lot where you can pay, but it gets pretty crowded. There is also street parking but you'd have better luck in the lot.

A recommendation from a friend and it was a good one. Originally, we were going to stop by on a Saturday but with time and their hours of operation, it wasn't going to work out. But made it for brunch Sunday. We didn't have to wait even though there were people standing outside. We got seated at one of the tables in the back patio area which was great, and we had a dog with us. The back area is beautiful, very clean and modern. Tables with heaters as well as a fire pit. Menu wise, a very good selection of dishes for everyone's liking. Cocktail menu was quite nice as well. Both mixed drinks and mimosas for brunch. We opted for a few dishes and shared them. The salmon toast with added egg and avocado, the pork hash, classic brekkie, and the chilaquiles. Everything was nice, flavors were great. They also have items for dogs which were great. Overall, dining experience was excellent. The property was beautiful and service was great. Food and drinks were excellent. Would definitely be back.

I've been admiring Alder & Sage from afar for some time and I finally got a chance to come in for a solo lunch/brunch. First, I have to say, I love the interior! The furniture and decor is chic but simultaneously warm and inviting. Even their back patio set up looks so nice! I will need to come back again and spend more time here. The coffee/espresso is excellent and I love the food menu. It's a bit pricey in my opinion but the food was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to more solo lunches here in the future.

Had a lovely brunch here. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was great. They have a wonderful drink menu and several unique latte options. I loved the matcha. Plenty of parking outside.The ambiance is great! Decorated beautifully!

I have been to alder and sage four times in the past month and each time it is absolutely delicious! I have tried their French toast which is sweet but not overly so. Their dish with potatoes and carnitas was perfectly seasoned and more than plenty for one person maybe even two depending on your appetite. The chai lattes are the best I have ever tasted! I have even tried the pumpkin chai lattes and no other place compares. A must !!!! Also their pastries are elite and I had their matcha pistachio croissant which is 11/10 and their passion fruit pastry which is also 11/10.The apple pocket is yummy but not as sweet. Great to me but important to note if you are looking for a sweet pastry. I'll be a regular here for years to come!

Went for brunch on a Friday. Pretty quaint place with paid parking next to it. Very clean open space with a beautiful huge backyard with outdoor seating and pet friendly.I got seated right away, and my order was out rather quickly, and they were pretty busy. I noticed a lot of the patrons knew the staff, which means they come here often. And after eating my food I understood the reason. I ordered an avocado tartine and a beet burrata salad. Those are my to go dishes whenever I see them on a menu. Needles to say, this was a very yummy, a bit spicy avocado tartine very different from any other I had. I did have a hard time cutting the bread to eat it, but it was delicious. The salad as well, it had huge blackberries in it and the mint gave it a good flavor. But the highlight for me was the maple spice late, decaf, almond milk. Wow!! It was made just right.

Really enjoying this place everytime I'm in the neighborhood. They have a fantastic backyard where you can just unwired and chilled (dogs are welcome). The staff are lovely and very helpful when you just want the best and they got you. The food and drinks are just lovely but the prices can be on the high end but it worth it. They do have indoor and full menu for lunch and dinner. I only come here for the coffee and the breakfast. Great place just hanging in the back yard and read a really good book.
