Food: 3/5Service: 3/5Ambiance: 5/5Let's start with the positives - this space is a breath of fresh air in North Long Beach! It's beautifully decorated, and I love that there is plenty of outdoor seating in the artsy patio. I love that it's family-owned and family-run, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, over the handful of times that my husband and I ate at Aguas Way, the negatives started to outweigh the positives. We initially loved their California burrito, but each time we ordered it, there seemed to be less and less steak until the very last time, there were only a few shreds of meat between mounds of fries and cheese. And it's not a cheap burrito either! Service is also quite slow - we once waited for our food for over an hour, and takeout is not any faster. The hours are odd - they close at 5 PM on weekdays, so if you work a traditional 9-5, it will be difficult for you to make it before it closes. Eventually, we found ourselves drifting over to a local taqueria for their carne asada tacos at less than two bucks apiece. It just didn't seem to make sense to try to come here anymore, as much as we desperately wanted to support.

Great little local business with some surprises - loved the green pozole, an unexpected (and LARGE) dish in the midst of tacos, burritos and beer. The carne asada taco was good, and I liked their green salsa. The aguas frescas were delicious, and there were a steady stream of people coming in to pick up items. Nice patio to sit at outdoors. Street parking only.

The food is really good! I got the Cali bowl with asada, but it didn't really make me feel good afterwards! I think it could have been the salsa! It gave me a really full feeling and bloating! Other than that, parking is good! Parking in the front. The outdoor scenery is nice ! And there's indoor and outdoor seating with a cute garden patio . The service is good! They are nice and very hospitable! They are helpful with the menu!

Customer service was great . I got the cucumber and limon frescos.. it was perfect .. not super sweet but very refreshing! I don't stay long but the vibe seems pretty cool in there.

The reviews and pictures looked great, so my wife and I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Cali-Dilla and my wife got the California Burrito. We were very disappointed with the food that we received and I apologize for forgetting to take pictures. I don't like giving negative reviews but I just had to. The Cali-Dilla was extremely dry and had absolutely no flavor at all. The chicken was dry and completely bland and there were way too many fries that were also extremely bland. They did give us some salsa verde that was ok but nothing to rave about, along with some horrible pico de gallo that was 70% onions, and some guacamole salsa that was very underwhelming. From that, I don't even have to say much about the California Burrito. The Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca was really good though, and that's why I gave it two stars. Usually, I would give a second chance and see what the rest of the menu is like but this was so bad that I don't even want to spend the money. Sorry if this review seems rude, I'm not mad at all. I'm just very disappointed.

First time here, I tried the Baja Fish taco and the Cali bowl and a Agua de Piña it was all so delicious but I have to say the Cali bowl was amazing and I will definitely come back to try some of their other options.Josh brought out my food and was very kind and welcoming, the service was great! It was also mentioned they have a small garden out back in their outdoor seating area.Definitely recommending my friends to pay them a visit :)

Cute spot, perfect for a photo opt. Wanted to like this place so badly to be able to return. However, that just won't happen. The steak burrito barely had any meat and was pretty pricey. The tacos where okay at best.If you are In the are try it for the vibes

Bombbbb. I've lived nearby this spot for 4 years and finally tried it. I plan to make this a frequent stop.

I tried the Cali-dilla with carne asada and it was very delicious and well priced. The guava juice was also delicious. The restaurant was quiet at lunch time and my meal was made when ordered and within a reasonable time. They had a few tables and chairs inside and it looked like an outdoor seating area in the back as well. I'll definitely be stopping here more often.

We forgot to take pics but they wouldn't have done it justice. The quality of the food was amazing! I have eaten an ungodly amount of Mexican food all my life and this is hands down the best asada I've bought at a restaurant that wasn't cooked by a tío at a bday party, it was bomb! I had the classic burrito(boring I know... but not here) along with an agua de Guava! The agua was spectacular! My wife had a fish and shrimp taco with an agua de sandía (watermelon). The fish wasn't soggy or smelly it was fresh and crispy. One taco was like 2 anywhere else. The shrimp was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly as well. The watermelon juice was delicious and fresh!The customer service was great. They allowed us to taste the aguas before purchase and made it a smooth experience.We kind of missed out on the coolest part of this place until the end. They have a garden/patio in the back that we had no idea of. So next time we are definitely enjoying our food back there. Highly recommend!
