6 years later and I'm still all about this place. The poke has changed, I appreciate how in the past they tried to copy Hawaiian poke shops. But they've settled on fewer types.Plates are STILL the best Hawaiian around. Seriously great and they have the right combo plates that give you tastes of chicken or beef options.

LOVE this local hawaiian food spot in my area. The portions are huge and the food is very tasty. It's super busy during weekday lunches. Sometimes they won't even pick up the phone and you have quite a bit of a wait but one thing about me.. I'm persistent and I keep calling until I can place a phone order for pick up!Staff are incredibly friendly and funny! I always order several spam musubis and I feel like the staff are always making a silly comment about it. They're 2 for $5 and really tasty! I like getting the pipi combo which comes with 3 huge hawaiian beef ribs and cut up short ribs along with a scoop of rice and mac salad. I always have enough for a second meal! Such a steal. My sister likes getting the hawaiian bbq chicken lunch - also a huge portion despite it not being a combo plate! I've also gotten their hawaiian tuna and it was delicious as well! Overall, you can't go wrong with anything here.

I got their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate and it tasted like teriyaki chicken but more smoky. The salad was great, very subtle. The Rice, Mac, and Salad complimented the main dish and overall was delightful. The portion amount is solid with their prices; their prices aren't overpriced with low portions. The owner is very laid back and friendly. Great place to get a spam musubi, chicken katsu, or other Hawaiian foods!

I was in the area and noticed this place. I'm already a fan of Hawaiian food and I was starving so I had to go in and try it! Words CANNOT describe this plate. OMG. And with the sauce that's in the dining room! Fireee I'm honestly upset I don't live in the area so I can keep coming back! The staff were also super friendly and were pretty quick with the service!

Yelp reviews and 13.1k followers on IG had me fooled! Been craving hawaiian food and wanted to give this place a try considering how good their food looks on social media. Well, upon arrival, my sister noticed that they have a food health grade of B. Here are some common violations that lead to a B grade: temperature-related offenses, unsanitary handling, and vermin infestation (Rats, mice, or insects in the facility). Well let me tell you.. The ambiance gave warehouse/mechanic shop vibes. We were starving and they were fairly busy, so we decided to still give it a try. Sat outside to avoid having to look at and be inside such a dirty food facility.Glad i can check it off the list, but unfortunately, will not be returning. Two stars because i am not a fan of leaving bad reviews, but also just want to be honest!

Visited around noon on a Tuesday and beat the lunch rush. Fortunately for us, we were able to snag a table. The restaurant is relaxed and casual, and reminds me of local joints in Hawaii. I enjoyed my loco Moco which wasn't just overloaded with rice and had well seasoned beef patties and perfectly cooked over medium eggs. I could do without the spinach salad but I appreciate it. We also ordered one of the bbq plate with the Kalbi being our least favorite on the menu. Otherwise, everything else -- mac salad, poke, and spam musubi tastes great!

My son is regular spam musubi eater lol. I'm a pescatarian so I like that they have a shrimp tempura musubi so we can have musubi together. Service is fairly quick and the man who I believe is the owner is friendly. I haven't had any other food here but I'm sure it's great since they're always busy.

I usually come here for the amazing spicy spam and egg musubis which are fulfilling and affordable. My friend told me to try the ribs and omg I can't believe I've been missing out on the best ribs of my life lol these are a must try! They take a long time to make though, be papered to wait at least 20 mins for your order.

I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi.
