My favorite local spotThe Happy Hour is such a steal. You just don't get $10 margaritas anywhere and they discount $2 on their margaritas during HH. Their octopus and shrimp taco IS THE BEST, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who have low tolerance to spicy food. The ambiance is always amazing. They always have great music in Spanish playing.Service is always amazing too! Favorite local spot in Chula Vista.

Went to San Diego for the Leagues Cup round of 32 game between America and Atlas! The game was great and the atmosphere was even better. So obviously we partied well into the night in the city of Imperial Beach. Shout out to Coral Bar and Grill in IB, check that spot out. When we eventually woke up, we asked the locals, where is the best spot for an authentic mexican breakfast that cure a hangover and bring us back to life! They all told me "Lomas in CV". I'm glad we listened to the locals! In ordered the Spanish omelette! It was HUGE AND DELICIOUS! what a hearty breakfast that did not disappoint! If you're ever in Chula Vista/ San Diego/ Imperial Beach, you HAVE to check out Lomas Mexican Restaurant!

A little hidden gem in Chula Vista. One of the better little Mexican Restaurants in all the South Bay. Right when you walk in you can smell that Sunday morning Nana cooking, no lie. Prices & portions are pretty good here & they got a cool little patio outside & a few TV's to watch sports & a cool little bar. Parking can be tight on weekends so try to get there before 11. Been coming here for years it was my Suegra favorite breakfast spot, may she R.I.P. Now I bring my parents here & siblings, my brother likes it so much he brings his family now too. One thing we like it's the little bar, they serve good little Micheladas, at a good price, they make other drinks too. The food is good, always start with chips & salsa it comes fast & fresh & the salsa is very good, that's the sign of a good Mexican spot. Huevos Ranchero's is my go to, the Milanesa is my mom's fav & if your vegetarian go for the Nopales plate my dad loved it. Items we were impressed with was the SeaFood tacos, the grilled Octopus, breaded Shrimp & Fish were very good, better than some Marisco places I've been too & we love that they have Taco holders, genius idea. The customer service is good, the ladies work hard & fast & are very attentive, just wish they smile a bit more, a smile goes a long way but they good, hard workers. I also love that they have their regulars, you can tell, when some customers walk in they say hi to other customers, chat a bit & hug or shake hands, it's like a little Mexican "Cheers" on weekends there Haha.Overall a good little Mexican restaurant with good Nana status food & good Micheladas with a good vibe. So bring your Nana/Parents, they'll thank you for it. Keep up the good work Lomas, see you soon & keep those Micheladas coming baby, Salud.

Been here a few times for breakfast and a couple of times to watch the Padres and grab a few beers. The restaurant is relatively small with a nice size patio. The main dining room is about the size of a bar lounge. The decor is very Frida Khalo. The food is pretty good. Breakfast was the better choice for me. Dinner was good I had the Carne Asada it was cooked just right but lacked anything remarkable to make me order it again. Their service was a little spotty (not enough attention to low drinks). The prices are fair for the area. Bottom line is I like this place. Try it.

Tried this place finally cause I heard great things about it. Went with coworkers after work! This place has excellent drinks and the chips and salsa hit the appetizer spot! I'm went basic with the fish taco, carne asada and carnitas! Arrive was excellent, servers also shared what they like and the music atmosphere was vibe!! Definitely going back to try breakfast and then again for another plate of something different. See you soon!

A solid 3 stars, was looking for a hot plate place and this seemed like it might scratch the itch. When we sat down I didn't even get a cocktail menu (despite having a full bar) I had to look on Yelp for what others ordered, so I grabbed a Pom marg.(12$). I ordered the 11 and the 15 I believe. The plates were cold and food was Luke warm. Both of our tacos were cracked in half upon arriving. The rice is on the opposite end of the combo plate between a puddle of enchilada sauce. With that said the food isn't bad, I do have to say though, it's weird to go to a place like this and not get chips and salsa. Speaking of which there's just some bottles on the table of National companies hot sauce. Also the tamale was all masa and holy cow dry. I dunno if they didn't think I don't like spice? I very much do.

Was craving sopa, especially during these colder evenings. After making soup the last couple of nights, wanted to order out. Saw this place and read reviews a few weeks ago, and didn't order. Tonight, I decided to go for it and Ordered through PostMates. Ordered Caldo de Res, Menudo and a Birria taco to try it out. The Caldo de Res has huge chunks of beef, potatoes, squash and carrots. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed it. The Menudo was chowed down quickly and was flavored well. We added cilantro, like and onion to both of our soups. Even dipped the birria taco into the soups. The birria had good flavor and was juicy. Asked for the toppings to be on the side. Will definitely order their other caldos, and loved the the packaging was convenient in a holder that made online delivery easy to transport. Utensils were included as well.. the flour tortillas taste homemade (not sure if made in-house).

I love this place!! Met up with a girlfriend here for lunch and everything was so good. I love the chicken mole enchiladas, didn't have much expectations since mole can be a bit or miss at a restaurant, but I LOVED them!! The servers are so nice too, they're so friendly and give great recommendations. I love the ambiance, perfect outside seating for a great day. The service and the drinks are the highlight for me. Will definitely be back!

Lomas cafe the best restaurant bar in south bay fully recommended...... great menudo, breakfast plates and service its so great every one greed each other feels like home....!
