Food was very good. Went early for $5 taco's Veggie tacos very very good Excellent presentation. Flavors were excellent . Patio was nice. Service was busy but waitress did a great jobWould definitely recommend .

Wednesday evening place was pretty empty. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was very good as well.

Awesome local Mexican restaurant. The staff is amazing, has great tasting high quality Tequila for tasting and in flights.Casual and friendly ambiance. We came to try for the first time last week and loved it so much came back last night for taco Tuesday.Great food! I had the best veggie tacos and their borracho beans are delicious!They're Al pastor and carnitas are fantastic and they even serve up their Birria tradition style with a side of broth. Their chips and salsa are really savory, light and good.We will be coming here for taco Tuesday often.

What a great spot- we had no idea we had such a super place nearby!! The atmosphere is cool and contemporary with a extensive bar!!I enjoyed a delicious margarita and my hubby had an icy soda! *Take note- my hubby almost passed on the chili verde because it started it was spicy. Lucky I suggested he ask for a taste- he loved it!! He said it was the Best he had in a long while- so, if you're not sure ask for a taste the staff is very kind to accommodate. I got a stuffed appetizer goodie that was good - I was disappointed in the corn selection though. And, Mexican street corn is my favorite so I was really excited for that- didn't touch it. Mentioned that, and it was still included in the bill even though it went uneaten. It tasted like a frozen veggie mix from the super market. Other than that- it was a pleasant time and we will return. I just hope they ramp up the street corn option.

We ate here for our first time and were so impressed with the food. From the fresh guacamole to the delicious tortillas, we all left stuffed! The staff was friendly and we will certainly be back.

There a fine line between failure and success, and when you have a owner as passionate to seek out perfection, success is GOING to happen. That's exactly what this owner is actively striving for. As far, as I can tell, the changes have been positive! The service and food is amazing! The chips and salsa are, as anyone knows, the true test of a good Mexican restaurant, these thin perfectly salted house made chips and salsa will not disappoint! Pro tip, ask for a side of hot salsa, if you like it HOT, it's so good, spicy and flavorful! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We were fortunate to have a great conversation with the owner, and learned some changes the restaurant recently went through, as a new restaurant, there will always be some hiccups, it's how you respond to them, that will determine your success, and this owner has done just that! New chefs, new recipes revisions that are authentic and tasty! A Must Try; the chili verde, it will literally melt in your mouth, and the sauce is crazy good! We also had the chicken fajitas, and ground beef burrito, both amazing, and portions are huge! Loco J's is a great neighborhood restaurant, where you want to come and enjoy amazing, authentic Mexican food, have friendly customer service, drink selections that are out of this world! Don't miss happy hour, $5.00 margs, and 1/2 off appetizers!

Sat down at 5:50, happy hour ends at 6:00. Gave us our drinks, no eye contact and walked away so quickly we couldn't say a word. Politely waited while she served drinks to someone who had to leave their table and come in from outside to order more drinks. Then someone else came in and as she walked by at 5:58 we told her we needed to put our happy hour order in. 6:02 we interrupt her plugging in their food order and say we would like to place our happy hour order and this person whipped around and said Happy Hour is over. I told her we've been trying to get her attention and she screams that she is the only person there. I told her that is not my problem, but apparently it is. She said you're not getting happy hour bc it's OVER. i told her to ring me up, I'm outta here.She's mouthy, loud, unprofessional and rude. The only thing in her favor was that she was alone. Still not my fault. i walked out and spouse paid bill and she lied about the timing of how long the others had been there. Considering I was only there a total of 12 minutes and those ppl weren't there when we arrived. Then she screams she doesn't make the schedule. Check out receipts and times she punched our drink order in. If 4 tables of 2 (8ppl) are too much for her to handle, she should close the door and say we are full. My husband asked her to look at his point of view and she went ape. NEVER coming back. Why would you drive customers (first time) away? 12 minutes and done.

The day we went was a one man show but he did remarkably well. And we were on vacation so not in a hurry. The food was very good. We would go back for sure.

Discovered on Yelp and thought we'd try something close to home. Upon entering no one welcomed nor greeted us. Had to ask if we sit or wait, lady behind the bar talking to other patrons just said "sit" Then proceeded to keep talking. Apparently this was the only worker as no one came to our table to bring menus or properly welcome us, or acknowledge us being there. After what seemed like a lifetime we just decided to get up and leave without even comment from the bar lady. Must have their regulars and no one else is welcome so we suggest no one new give this place any businessBased on other reviews (including today) others have come across this same lone bar lady ignoring guests

Most bizarre experience we have EVER had in a restaurant. The bartender appeared to be the only person working and was bothered when we asked if were supposed to seat ourselves. After 15 minutes at the table we asked a woman who was doing nothing but roaming around if she worked here to which she replied "I sure do, what do you need"? Um... a menu, water and service would be nice. She looked at us like we were aliens. Still no menus, no water, service after 25 minutes but she had time to chit chat with the bartender and another table. Then a man came by out of nowhere and asked "how are you doing" to which we replied "actually, a little upset that we've been sitting here without any acknowledgements, like a "hello", menus, water, chips/salsa, silverware setting - to which he replied "unless you order food or eat with your hands like other people do, we don't give silverware". HUH???? What does that even mean?? Then he asked "did you want to order food?". Duh...yeah, we were here to order food, but at that point, my handbag was on my shoulder. Seriously... the weirdest encounter we've ever had and we out a lot. Frankly, I wouldn't trust the food in this place. After sharing our experience with a few friends, two different groups shared very similar, bizarre situations. So... bye, bye. Too many other amazing Mexican restaurants to ever consider going back to this place. Waste of time and not even worth one star but had no choice.
