Locals Espresso

I've been driving out of my way if necessary to go to a Locals for years (luckily I have two not far away!). Longterm employees, delicious and quality drinks, homemade sauces and creative recipes. Fast and friendly. I always alter and customize with dairy alternatives, more or less flavoring, etc., and they are happy to accommodate. And I love a punch card...nice treat!

Been coming to Locals for years. There is a mandate in Washington State to wear masks in public areas and neither of the baristas were wearing masks when I went. The barista even played with the end of the open straw with her bare hands I didn't see her clean, while her co worker finished the drink and put it in my coffee. Normally, whatever you touched the straw but to sit there and play with the end of it with no gloves on, or to not hand me one of the unopened straws sitting right by the window to help not spread any germs. I won't be going back. You at least got to do something to prevent spreading germs in Washington where COVID is spreading fast, or not open your business.

Just grabbed a lotus with cream. Hardly any cream at all. And the gal literally said " im not handing out the clip board can I tip for you?" ... Really? I understand the virus situation but to blatantly ask if she can add a tip? That's extremely rude. If you're not gonna hand out the clip board don't ask for tips. Put a sign up and leave it up to the customer.

Used to be a very good stand, but has gone down hill! I'm not sure if there is new ownership of this location or it's just the complete change of staffing. I live nearby so this have been a great place to get coffee on your way out and have been going for a couple years. This month alone I have had to drive to the Marysville location 3 times on my way to work to have my coffee remade. Half the time my drink is WAY too sweet, and even if I say half sweet somehow it's still strong. The gals are typically friendly and will usually try to fix it. I've also been over charged several times as well! For a 16oz iced Americano, no extra shots or anything; And a single flavour has on some occasions cost me $5.20!! On the menu board 16oz Americano is labeled at $3.45... Not sure how many more chances I'll give the place anymore. It's too difficult to have to go out of my way to go to the other stand to get my coffee remade on a regular basis!!

The BEST, most consistently made drinks ever! I've never been to any coffee stand anywhere where every barista makes drinks almost exactly the same (It's so nice to not feel like I can only go when a certain person is working). All the girls at Lakewood stand (my regular one, + Stanwood sometimes) are so sweet to me/husband/dog! They remember our drinks, support other local businesses like mine, and just overall make my day so much brighter! The owners seem to take pride in their biz by keeping the locations clean, well landscaped, and their branding is well thought out. Worth the short wait on a busy day for sure (always go to the places with long lines as opposed to no lines- there's a reason for each remember!).

I'm not a drinker of coffee but they make a nice chai tea. My family frequently does buy their coffee here though. They are pretty consistant with their creations at all of their stands.

Best coffee and friendly staff. Perfect locations for my daily coffee needs. Love the new remodel on the building out by Lk Goodwin.

A great quick stop on your way into work. Usually there is a line that can be rather long. Reasonably price and the staff in the morning are friendly. The drinks are consistent and I never have gotten a poorly made espresso.

There is a few of these in my local area, and if I run across them the family and I will always stop here. Between the ownership and the team members always great.

Got a giant mango jet here (frozen tea delicious fruit drank), and it was exactly as dericious as I wanted it to be on my way to the airport. It was HUGE, was made quickly, and super well-blended to avoid any chunks. We didn't have a long line and got great service. Not sure when we'll be back on the island, but we wouldn't hesitate to stop by here again!
