Local Bistro

Stopped in to check this place out and ended up staying for dinner. The menu is amazing and hard to resist! We got great service in the bar...the wine list is quite large. The menu has something for everyone! We sampled the Italian Guacamole which is different with the basil and sun dried tomatoes, but very tasty and enough for 4 people for sure. If anything I think they could use to dice the tomatoes to make it easier to eat. The gazpacho with nectarines was an absolutely hit! To finish we had the arugula salad with salmon. Which was perfectly prepared. It's atop of a generous portion of whipped goat cheese with honey. Compliments to the chef and staff. Everything was well done! Another suggestion, display this amazing menu outside. It will definitely draw them in.

Came here recently on my day off. I had Mark. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the pomodoro pasta which was dry and tasted like it had been microwaved. It was basic and easily simmering I could've made at home. My friend ordered the ravioli. The portion size was super small and she's not a big eater. I honestly don't think it would be with coming back. The only reason I would would be because of how great mark wasOn and then there was the service charge. It'd be nice if they could state this on the menu. Just another money hungry owner I guess

We love local Bistro. The food and wine/aperitif selection is great! The service is always friendly, and accommodating. Parking is simple, but, it can get full fast - so be prepared to walk a smidge. The outdoor patio is absolutely lovely! Personally, I am not a big fan of the inside seating - the music always seems so loud plus all the loud talking - it's hard to carry a conversation. The most important part...the food. Everything on this menu is DELICIOUS - the mushroom pizza is a fav. But, really you cannot go wrong with a single item on the menu. The serving all tend to be plentiful and filling - don't forget to save room for dessert!

Found this place by accident sure glad I did the food was pretty good the ceaser salad was one of the best I've had mines the egg the dressing was nice and creamy and had the perfect bit to it the pizza was grate loved the mix of fontana and gruyere vert different dough had a little sour flavor to it all round very delicious will go back for that for sure the salmon was good it was dry from being over cooked but pommes puree and pesto saved it the server was ok the only reason for notb5 star was the service charge they say it's so they don't have to raise the menu prices but you are I can't see but till time to pay

Post-business travel, I was craving the roasted heirloom carrots... with a Local Manhattan... with a Salumeria pie.Service is as always top-of-the-game (Brendan, Maria, Francisco). Manager Guillermo making the rounds is always good energy.Place is rockin' as usual with a full house. Great food and intimate atmosphere. A trusted favorite in North Scottsdale.

Staying in Scottsdale on N Hayden. Looked for an Italian food restaurant & found Local Bistro. No Happy Hour menu. Ate Tagliatelle Bolognese which was excellent. Paste properly ale dente and sauce richly complex. The combo pizza was very good. Focaccia was good but a little dense. Wine list is extensive and the bar is beautiful.

Tried out local bistro while visiting from Austin. I grew up here and get stuck going to the old favorites but so glad we branched out. We had Mark as our server- he was amazing. Personable, attentive and just overall great. The calamari was very good, I got the rigatoni a la vodka but subbed for GF noodles- they were al dente and fantasticThe short rib tagliatelle was also insanely good. We tried two desserts that were out of this world. Can't wait to come back next time i'm in town!

They charge a service charge when you get your bill without telling you prior The prices are exsorbent They keep bringing bread for the table and not telling you that they charge 5 dollars for each piece until you get your check I will never return

Took a chance and were happily thrilled! Unique array of menu selections---highly recommend the Italian Guacamole! Italian-had the eggplant appetizer, Salmon dish-delicious, paella- yummy, and steak salad-interesting and good! Dessert very creative Apple/caramel/nuts and panna cotta YUM!! Mark was outstanding as a server--10/10!

Very fancy upscale place. Ambience is quiet and romantic.Staff was very friendly and inviting.I feel the menu was very limited and not a lot of options.Service was not great. I had to ask for refills of water, had to flag down someone else for assistance. For the prices they charge and passing as an upscale high end local bistro, service was not at par.The food was very disappointing. I ordered the Brussel sprouts. They we're too sweet and not crispy enough. I ordered the focaccia bread and it was way too salty and did not have any crunch as it should. I ordered the corn and it was drowned in sauce. I ordered the chicken primavera and the chicken was super dry.The $20 burger (two thin patties), this burger was all bread..not worth it!I definitely will not be coming back or bringing my guests here. I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and I was so disappointed.
