Lobstah On A Roll

OMG this is Money!! Totally worth effort to park the tank I was driving.A must try! Got the Lobstah roll and Lobstah chowder.. hella nice weather so chilling outside people watching. This establishment has set the bar very high. Service is solid & welcoming.I will be seeing you again soon

This is the best lobster roll I've ever had. So fresh and amazing flavor, and the roll was nice and buttery and toasted. The extra butter for dipping was so good. I took one bite and immediately texted my friends.I also had the clam chowder and the fries. Chowder was good but slightly over seasoned (believe me I'd rather have more flavor than less, but it was slightly too much). Granted I got there shortly before closing so I could've just got the bottom of the pot, which would explain why I needed a little more clam in there. Fries were also slightly dry but again, I got there before closing and they were still fine with ketchup. But for the lobster roll alone, this place gets 5 stars!!!! This location is more geared towards takeout, although they have a little bit of seating inside & outside. I sat at a table outside and people watched while eating my delicious lobster roll and had no complaints. Super nice staff as well! The woman working there alone makes me want to go back. I forgot my credit card in the car (3 blocks away) and she still prepared my order so it was ready when I got back. She also let me sit outside and finish my food, even tho she was closing. She stacked the other chairs but let me chill at my table.I will 100% be back the next time I'm in the area...still dreaming about that lobster roll.

The restaurant is in a fantastic location, perfect for people-watching if you sit outside, or for staying dry and cool inside if the weather is drizzling and humid like today. Initially, the prices of the lobster rolls might give you sticker shock, but a couple next to us, who live further up north, assured us that they were actually a "bargain."Our waitress was earnest and managed the entire service efficiently. She even noticed when the couple next to us left their cell phone behind and quickly ran after them to return it.Overall, not only was the food great, but the location and service were also very good.

I know you love lobster, because right now you're searching for the best lobstah roll in Boston. Stop searching. Get yourself to Lobstah on a Roll, and don't snack before you go. These rolls are packed to the gills with huge meaty chunks of lobstah. There's a few seats inside and a table outside. It's situated in great little neighborhood full of brownstones. If you sit outside, you can watch the dogs walk their humans to the treat box across the street at the barbershop, while you eat.

WOW. This is the Real Deal. Full Stop.Walking around the neighborhood and stumbled upon this place so I came for a Scooby Snack since I had lunch earlier. I went for the bowl of Lobster Bisque and it was heavenly. Fresh, well seasoned, plenty of lobster bits and a dash of sherry.Staff is super friendly and I ate outside under the magnificent spring sun. Found out they even have a location in St. Augustine FL. It was my first lobster roll, so i cant say it is the best but it was really really great. the lobster was very fresh, perfectly cooked and big chunks too. Service was nice, they were friendly and helpful.

A wonderful hole in the wall for all your seafood needs! It was my first time trying the Lobstah On A Roll with my boyfriend on his lunch break. The decor is extremely unappealing and I got a weird smell from the place upon entry. I was skeptical, but decided to try it anyway. We split the clam chowder and each had a warm, buttered lobster roll. The clam chowder was EXCELLENT. The broth was thick and creamy and there were loads of clams throughout the chowder. We were even given extra oyster crackers. Lovely. Now onto the main event, the rolls. We both had the 4 oz rolls. Im not sure if they meant 4oz of meat or 4oz of roll. There was absolutely way too much bread on the brioche. I ended up picking off the extra and had enough to make another roll. Besides the extra breading, the lobster was fantastic. Now what I thought was strange, is that lobster roll is in the name and they only carried two variations and two sizes. I would love to see a lobster roll that's not just butter or mayo. But for a basic lobster roll it was very good and I would love to try some other items next time.

Review number 1500 is a great one! What a wonderful way to bring it in!I really enjoyed Lobstah On A Roll. The roll is packed with fresh lobster and though it comes with warm, drawn butter, it is not needed. The fresh lobster takes care of it. It is not dressed up, with mayo or celery or any filler, it is a plain roll served on a challah roll. The challah roll is what makes it special. It also what allows the lobster to be easily digested and to eat the entire sandwich. It is eggy and sweet in sharp contrast to the succulent lobster.Since I have the Yelp app, I also got a free clam chowder with the purchase of the roll. The chowder is splendid. It tastes milky fresh and there are clams in every spoonful. It comes with two packs of oyster crackers, more than enough to make this work.I also enjoyed the cashier, Jessica. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. Very chatty and always up for something. She has great know-how and was a pleasure to chat with. Ordered ahead and picked up.the shop is very small there are a few seats avaiable. The lobster bisque was good.

I took my mother and some friends here for her hundredth birthday. I'd been here many times before when the owner served me and it was awesome. Amazing and generous servings of fresh Maine lobster with plenty of drawn butter, albeit expensive, but knowing that, always satisfied. Apparently the owner had opened some other locations and was no longer on premises. A large woman helped us and was very professional. She prepared and served our assorted lobstah rolls - a $300 lunch for 6. She got the order perfect.Unfortunately I found the lobster servings pretty skimpy for the price. It didn't taste super fresh. A little rubbery in fact and not the usual sweet fresh tenderness I've experienced here in the past. It certainly wasn't bad, but just a little disappointing versus many previous experiences here.
