Little Tokyo

It was my partner and I first time dining at Little Tokyo. I had the chance to enjoy honey garlic chicken which I give a 10/10. The portion was huge. The flavor was exactly how you'd imagine honey garlic to taste- Sweet and savory. My partner chose to get chicken Katsu and gave the dish a 7/10. The presentation was nice, the chicken was crispy and juicy, and the salad was refreshing with their house dressing. Service was good. We had to walk up to the counter to order and pay for our food. And then we chose our own seating and the food was then brought to our table with utensils all under 15 minutes.Highly recommend if you love Asian style food.

The service was fine, but the food was awful! The teriyaki sauce that they used was super thick and goopy like aunt jemima syrup, and it didn't taste like the chicken was marinated in it at all, so it was just like eating unseasoned grilled chicken with syrup on top. We had to just throw the meal away. And the my stomach has been aching since I ate it last night. I hate to do this to a small business but this wasn't good at all

Staying at a hotel nearby and was looking for something quick and easy. The food came impressively fast, but a bigger surprise was that food was really good. I give it five stars on food alone, but the small dining room left a little to be desired. Still, as most of their business is takeout, this place does the job very well. PS..it's not Chinese as some have stated, it's Japanese. For the record, I had teriyaki chicken (all thigh meat, which I much prefer) plus gyoza. Comes with small salad. (Sorry, photo taken when I was halfway through. Portions are huge!)

This is a good spot! Quick and friendly service! I looooove their fried rice! The only thing is sometimes it's hit or miss but I've had amazing fried rice more than I've had mediocre fried rice here!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past or when you walk in, but the food tells a completely different story. I don't think I've ever had teriyaki until this place, usually because at almost every teriyaki establishment there's nothing for vegetarians to eat. This place, however, proved different. I knew as soon as I walked in to pick up carry out by the way it was full inside and everyone being a person of color, that the food would be fire.I got the stir fry tofu with nuts. I wasn't sure how it would taste with almonds on top, but I gave it a whirl and I'm so glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious, packed cleanly, and they got the order ready in less than ten minutes. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in Washington and trying other vegetarian-friendly items. I'm already craving it again. Bless Little Tokyo Teriyaki.

Really quick with your order and their portions are great. So happy to have a good teriyaki spot so close to home.

This place was so good! Was in Tacoma for work a couple of years ago and normally when I travel I go to a different place each night. This was so good I went back again the next day!I had the teriyaki chicken and either orange chicken or sweet and sour chicken and it was delicious. The teriyaki was the perfect flavor and the orange chicken was crispy and spicy. So delicious!

Little Tokyo has always been my go to teriyaki joint ever since I was a kid. Not only is the teriyaki delicious but their portions are crazy generous. I usually always get the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki but decided to try out the General Taos Chicken as well today.The portion was huge! It could definitely feed 2 people. The taste was good as always, I liked how the General Taos was still a bit crispy. It doesn't come with a salad though, but that's okay because it was still bomb!

First time trying Little Tokyo and I must say I'm impressed. This is some of the BEST Chinese food I've had in a long time !! I got the chicken Katsu made spicy in a combo with sesame chicken and I asked for a side of sweet and sour sauce for my rice- they gave me three packets which was pretty nice, I really only expected one ! The food was made and delivered quickly and tasted fresh and delicious!! I'm moving towards the end of the year but until then this will be my go to restaurant when I have a hankering for some Chinese food !

There has been a big change at Little Tokyo. It use to be one of my favorite places. The great flavor is gone. The vegetables had no seasoning. The shrimp on the stick was so hard my husband thought the shell was still on them. However, the beef teriyaki and chicken were ok. I am just disappointed.
