Lovely little spot. Dropped in while I my film was being developed next door. Had a lovely conversation with the woman who helped me and the food was great.

I understand that Little Szechuan is a Tempe mainstay, operating for almost half a century. After having lunch here, I am baffled by how it could survive so long. Worst Chinese food in the valley, and it's not close! Food is low-quality, flavorless, and greasy. Starting from the fried rice, that appears to be fried in literally nothing. Not a hint of egg or vegetable in it at all, let alone discernible seasoning. The crab puffs were literally the worst I've ever had--utterly devoid of seasoning and tasted like fake or incredibly cheap cream cheese. The teriyaki chicken was fried, which is weird, and it was overcooked and rubbery. I hated everything I tried. The lunch combos are incredibly skimpy. I won't be back.

Little Szechuan in Tempe.Let's compare apples to apples--or in this case, dumplings to dumplings. Fast-food Chinese should never outshine authentic Chinese cuisine. With fifteen years of working and traveling across Southeast Asia under my belt, from Macau to Taipei, I've developed a palate for the good stuff. This place? It's like they've never heard of spices or flavors. My coworkers had been singing this place's praises for weeks. "You've got to try it!" they said. Eager to see what the fuss was about, I went in with an open mind and zero expectations. As a die-hard foodie, I was ready for a culinary adventure. What did I get? A one-way ticket to Disappointmentville. I couldn't even finish my meal; it was that bland.Let's talk about General Mao for a moment. If he tasted the food here, he'd probably shake his head in utter disappointment and consider shutting this place down. Mao had high standards for flavor, and this place? Well, it falls flatter than a pancake. For authentic Chinese food, you're better off heading to The Original Panda Restaurant in California (no, not Panda Express). They serve dishes that dance on your taste buds, unlike this place, where flavors go to die. Not recommended. Jordan

I celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Dragon at Little Szechuan, and it was an exceptional experience. The authenticity of the Sichuan spice truly stood out! Each dish carried a genuine and flavorful kick that perfectly captured the essence of Sichuan cuisine. The celebration at Little Szechuan was a delightful journey through the rich and bold flavors, making it a memorable Chinese New Year experience. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic and spicy culinary adventure! #LittleSzechuan #SichuanSpice #ChineseNewYear

I really wanted to try this place. Everything says they are open. Get out of car in 115 degrees. Get to door. Guess what. They are not open. Yep Nope not trying. As a native Arizonan that is a major party foul. Too bad.

I was so excited to try since they had good reviews. My spring roll was soggy, the noodles were chewy and not really cooked and had no flavor at all. The orange chicken was decent

Good food. Vegan dumplings are pretty good, egg rolls are probably the best I've ever had. It's really hard to find decent Chinese food in Arizona. By east coast standards it's probably a 2.5, but this is a solid Arizona 4
