Little Roma Restaurant

My Father brought me to Little Roma for lunch. I feel in love with the food and the darling restaurant. The Wait staff was very professional and friendly.2 weeks later I brought my Husband for dinner. Enjoyed new dishes that were excellent. We are so happy to have found a great Italian Restaurant in La Mesa. We met the Owner/Chief and he was a delight! His Son was most informative of the menu and everything we tried was fabulous.We have found our new go to neighborhood restaurant that has been there for 25 years!! Thanks Dad for taking me there.

Never had a bad meal or experience at Little Roma A restaurant on par with any of the supposed "best " Italian restaurants in all of San Diego

If you're looking for a great little Italian restaurant in La Mesa then add Little Roma to your list. This is a restaurant we frequent and, it has been a hit every single time! Let's start with the customer service. We have always been waited on by Chris who greets us with a smile each and every time. He is so kind, professional and offers his recommendations when asked and, he has always been right!! Chris is one of the reasons why we go back! Now, let's move on to the food! We get something different every time we visit. They always bring out the garlic knots to start and, they are buttery and yummy. Great way to start a meal! I believe that all of their dinner dishes come with a soup or salad. We always get the salad. It's fresh and, pairs well with the garlic knots. This time around we ordered the Short Rib Dinner which was the special for the day. The short ribs had a bourbon Demi glaze and caramelized onions on top. It was delicious, tender and melted in our mouths! This came with a side of veggies but, I felt like it needed mashed potatoes instead. Still... the veggies paired well and, cut the richness of the sauce. Loved it and, would order it again! We also got the Manicotti. This is a classic dish and it was creamy, cheesy and comforting. Ricotta, mozzarella and marinara...what more could you want?!? Both dishes came with a garlic bread on the side! Delish!! The ambiance and decor is inviting. Great music and, the low lights make it a romantic date night spot. Love this place and always look forward to going! P.S. Can the wait be long at times? Yes, yes it can...is the customer service, the food and the ambiance worth the wait?! Yes, yes it is!!! As long as the staff is nice, the restaurant is clean and, the food is good then DEAL with it!!! The food and service is worth the wait in my opinion.

Went there for my daughter after SDSU graduation dinner. The place is not really big. But big enough. There were 13 people in our party. The service was great and the food was delicious. Not one complaint. Best of all. Since I had to pay the whole bill, The price was great.

Great little Italian spot! I loved the bruschetta the most but lots of great options. This is a small restaurant but servers are trying their best.

I have to say WOW! I am from an Italian family in Rhode Island and we very particular about our sauce. We were so impressed by the taste of home. EXCELLENT!!!True Italian taste!!!

This is my first time here at little Roma and I'm writing this review before I even get my meal. I came here to say that Chris has elevated my experience and whether the food is good or not I wouldn't mind just because of how enjoyable the customer service is from Chris. He's very well attentive and I like his demeanor. With that being said I still hope the food is good lol. Sincerely, a manager from a local business here in La Mesa

Great little restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was a big hit with the whole family.

Don't let the outside fool you. The inside was bright and clean. The service was very friendly and, well, just excellent. I had the veal parmigiana (which is hard to find any more in restaurants) and my daughter had the eggplant parmigiana. Both were made as they should be made. Cooked to perfection! My special needs granddaughter is a very fussy eater. She had her normal order for dinner of spaghetti. She gave it a 9 out of 10!! My sauce doesn't get that high of a rating and I get many complements on my sauce. Oh, before I forget, make room to have their Spumoni pie for dessert. It was the topping of an excellent meal. Can't wait to go again. P.S. They also have outside seating if that's what you prefer.

Food, service and ambiance are a secret. 4 + +stars. Little secret place. I will go back soon. Already shared with friends.
