I can't believe I never tried this place, and I've lived in Arizona well over a decade. Little Miss barbecue is basically a household name here in Arizona. The location we went to was small, but the smells were amazing. The service was very fast and efficient. With so many options to try it was a little overwhelming, but we opted to try the turkey and then the smoked brisket and rib plate, I like that you have the option to mix-and-match meats. The turkey was the juices I've ever had in my life and the flavor was outstanding. Same goes for the brisket. I have never had brisket that I truly enjoyed and up until now, I never understood the hype around it, but this brisket blew me away. I also have to admit I am a sides girl. Give me all the sides lol. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the sides here and I would know because I try them all lol. Personal favorite highlight was the grits. The slaw was really good and if you're questionable about slaw, I would say try this one. Potato salad was banging, and the beans were so smoky and savory but so delicious.I think price wise it's pretty fair. For all of this, we paid close to 40 bucks which isn't bad and we shared it amongst three people so it's the perfect amount of food too.

Amazing food, but service challenges when busy. I called a few days before to ask if they were open for the 4th and about how fast they get customers through the line. I was told they get folks through in about 2 minutes. This was great because we were driving through town and wanted to make good time. We got there and there was a line. We were told about an hour to get food. We placed online orders and waited about 30 minutes. A staff member asked us to wait in our cars. We went out and came back in when we got food. The meat was well prepared and the grits were great. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of inside seating and the parking lot is small. We caught them at probably the busiest time on the 4th. I would definitely eat here again.

FATTY brisket all the way!We arrived 45 minutes before opening on Saturday and there was no line, so we took our chances and came back five minutes before opening and the line was about 10 deep. The staff is very friendly and gives you samples while waiting in line. We got to try the 707 and the jalepeno cheddar sausage. Both very tasty. I particularly liked how much oozy cheddar was in the jalepeno cheddar one. They have misters and camping chairs to sit in while waiting line. They know how to take care of you while you wait!- beef rib ($35/lb): only available Fri and Sat. Rich, fatty, fall off the bone. We dug this!- two meat combo ($26): we got a mix of lean and fatty brisket and the pork ribs. The pork ribs were way too salty, so much so we couldn't eat it all. The lean and fatty brisket were delicious with a beautiful smoke ring. We got all the extras and thought the pickles, peppers, and onions added a lot of tang and heat and cut the richness of the beef alone. Btw, it's gotta be the fatty brisket all the way!!! - Chile verde burrito ($13): also really salty. The sour cream cut some of the salt. tastes better with the bbq sauce. - jalapeño cheddar grits: creamy and had a nice kick at the end.- creamy red potato salad: my favorite. Not overly dressed and nicely paired with the rich and fatty beef.- smoked pecan pie ($7): super sweet! Didn't taste any smoke in there. Portions are huge. The two of us shared and could have been comfortably full just sharing the two meat platter, but we were so excited to try everything that we over ordered. Could have done without at least the burrito or the beef rib, probably both.Seating wise, there's an inside dining area with AC and an outdoor covered patio. Get the beef ribs and/or fatty brisket with a little dollop of the sweet and tangy mustard sauce for the win!

Stopped in late Saturday afternoon before they closed at 4 pm. There was not any wait and was able to it's right away. Service was not that inviting but at least the Brisket Sandwich was really good. I made it a Hefe for $2 more which included sausage to the sandwich and Coleslaw. The brisket had a lot flavor, tender, and Juicy. The house and spicy Barbecue sauces were good but the spicy wasn't spicy enough for my taste buds. The Potato Salad seemed to have the same taste as the coleslaw which was just ok. The drinks offered were just soda and Arizona tea. Wish they would have had wetnaps with the utensils because eating Barbecue gets messy and sticky.

Always the best BBQ in Phoenix. First stop when I travel to Phoenix. The line starts early. I got lucky and was #4 today! Brisket sandwich with the Jefe upgrade. Cheddar jalapeño grits and beans. No room for dessert today. Great beef. Great sausage. They sell out quick. Getting to eat inside is a bonus when it's already 105 at 11am.

No wonder the reviews are so good. The brisket was so good the fatty brisket was well marinated and soft. The lean brisket not dry at all. Pork spare ribs were tasty and soft. Don't forget to ask extra sauce when you do take out. Personally the house sauce is too sweet but the spicy was excellent. Not spicy but very good. This place is a must visit whenever you are in town.

Best darn BBQ ever for any amount of money! My wife and I flew right into Phoenix to try Little Miss BBQ-University! Ok, that's a stretch but it was the very first place we ate coming from Oakland airport. This place is inconspicuous as all get out hidden in an industrial area off the road. The only way you'd know is driving into the parking lot and seeing a wall of various chopped wood. I imagine hickory and apple wood and some other wood. Inside, you immediately hit the counter and order. We had the combo brisket (lean only at the time we ordered) and pork ribs. They did not disappoint. Both were tender and juicy meat which fell apart with a fork. Flavors were spot on with enough seasoning and smoke flavor. Comes with side of sliced bread, coleslaw and jalapeño cheese grits. Word to poseurs of so called "great brisket " learn a lesson in brisket making from this restaurant! If we ever get back to Phoenix, guess where we will be going to eat? Little Miss BBQ of course!Cheers!

Buddy of mine told me about this place a couple of years ago and I finally got a chance to go. I was looking for a spot I could hit before heading to the airport and good thing for me they were open today. I got there a few minutes after opening time and already there was a decent line out the door. Luckily for me they had plenty of covered patio space so I dropped my luggage off at a table and got in line. The line l moved relatively slowly but when you get inside you can see why. They prepare your food at the counter right in front of you as you order. They don't try to rush you into choosing your food to make up for that either which was a plus. Also, I'm not sure on the specifics like if it's the end or the start of one, but they gave everyone who was at the counter a small piece of brisket. I thought that was a nice little touch. Anyways, I had to take a gamble and order everything I wanted to try as well as MIGHT want to take home. I was not about to get in line for a 2nd time. I got 1 lb of sliced brisket, 1 lb of chopped brisket, 1 Jalapeño Cheddar sausage, and a 2 meat plate with pork ribs, sliced brisket, jalapeño cheddar grits and Cole slaw. I happened to mention at the register that I was flying the food home back to California and they offered to wrap my to go containers for me. So nice of them.Everything I ate was pretty on point. The pork ribs were just the point before fall off the bone but still had a good bite to them. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a great texture and slight kick to them but not too spicy. Sliced brisket was tender and perfectly smoked. The grits were rich and flavorful while the coleslaw helped cut through the richness of the meats and grits. That being said, Im glad I gambled and ordered the extra brisket to go. I would definitely go back if I was ever in Phoenix again.

Came out to Phoenix for an annual golf trip and this was our first stop after departing from the airport. I went with the 3 meat plate and two sides; they recommended the brisket, so I went with that, ribs, and the sausage. Their BBQ is absolutely stellar, the meat was incredibly tender and the seasoning made this some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The sides were also great to go along with the meal, can't go wrong with beans and coleslaw. Pricing was more than fair for a delicious plate of meat, will definitely be returning when I'm back in Phoenix -Best,Charlie

Pretty good BBQ with tender brisket. We ordered to-go and got the brisket, ribs, and brisket sandwich. The sides we got were grits, coleslaw, and potato salad. The 2 meat plate we got with brisket & ribs also came with a slice of bread. Husband wished there was more bread! Otherwise everything was good/as expected.Would return in person to try everything fresh! Looks like a decent amount of benches to eat outside.
