Little Joy

$5 iced latte and they are open in the early mornings! This is the place to go and grab your early morning pick me ups from. I went to Del Mar Plaza but everything except one place is closed until 10-11 am. I love the ice that they use here, it's so sturdy?? And they don't need a lot of it in the iced drinks, unlike some places. [I know it's not the same if you add syrup after the ice and everything-- but I brought my own brown sugar spiced + orange syrup to add into the latte and it's delicious! I'm sure it would have been even more fragrant if mixed with the espresso first.] -- I think here at Little Joy they have vanilla syrup and caramel syrup. I didn't ask, but I remember several people ordering those in their lattes.

Such a fun little walkup coffee shop. This is a perfect place to stop and get your coffee before walking around beautiful Del Mar. I'll be back for another cup soon!!

Love the coffee and the staff! they go the extra mile and know their regulars. There's some space to sit outside (note there is no room in the shop as it's more of a store front so seating is solely outside) it's also pup friendly. Highly recommend!

Really nice little coffee stand! My friend who is a coffee connoisseur loves their coffee which says a lot! I'm not a coffee drinker but I really like their rooibos tea which can be served hot or cold. They also have other non-caffeine options like kombucha and Topo Chico. It's a great place to make a pit stop on a beach walk!

Cute little coffee-shop/cart right next to the Zel's restaurant in Del Mar. In fact, you can get the coffee at Little Joy and have it quietly while people watching and/or ordering breakfast of whatever you want at the patio of that restaurant. Perfect combo. I found this great mini coffee joint by searching on Yelp something different from the nearby restaurant. Great coffee, good quality, well done, and very amiable service too. Oh, and kudos to whoever designed the lettering and drawing on the paper cup. It is just so cute I could not stop thinking of old days French schoolbooks calligraphy. It not only about the coffee:)

Literally the most wonderful people run this place and the cappuccinos I got every day were perfect. Give these folks your money!!!

I live nearby and have driven by numerous times and always said I need to stop by! Well I finally did this morning! The most adorable coffee shop ever. There was just one man working and he was extremely kind and made me the most delicious oat milk latte with a heart. They have a small selection of pastries I got a raspberry shortbread cookie it was delicious. Next time I want to try their donuts! Very high quality place at very fair prices. I can tell this is a local favorite lots of walk up customers. Can't wait to come back this place sparks BIG joy for me
