My, oh my. Delicious and delightful. We arrived early and the hostess said the only table she had at the molmwnt was a two-top right near the front door and if we would wait a short bit a better table would be available. We waked around for a few minutes and she both came San dtwztex us to come back. Nice service indeed. We kept it simple and had the baguette for a starter. Hot. Yummy could use a larger serving of butter but it was darn good. We both had the French dip and wow... it was ok hot bread and the beef was tasty and tender. The salad was a delight and the perfect accompaniment. The jus was just right. Strats with the French onion soup with some other tasty goodies added in. 10 out of 10. Overall a smash hit. Out server was fantastic and this is a great spot to eat, relax and to celebrate all things with the ones you love.

After a tour of the Hotel del Coronado, a local suggested to us to go here for brunch. The smoked salmon Benedict on a fresh croissant was one of the best we've ever had. Every bite was delicious and never felt too heavy. The buckwheat crepe itself was tasty but the smoked salmon and other fillings inside were heavier and more salty so not quite as good. Definitely a good choice for pastries in general.Service was helpful including explaining their flight of four different spritzes. We liked the blood orange and grapefruit spritzes the most.Overall would definitely recommend if you're on Coronado island.

alrighty. four stars. got take out here, it was prepared very fast and a text was sent to me when it was ready. hostess was kind. took a second to get my stuff squared away and ready, but everything was correct which was greatly appreciated. the burger is pretty good. i recommend you try it, but i don't think it will blow anyone completely out of the water - but it's good. fries did not really impress me, sadly. definitely check this spot out. prices are also a little bit on the higher end, but the quality is there.UPDATE:HAIR IN FOOD. yep. a hair was found in the food.

TL:DR - Little Frenchie serves one of the best Croque Madame's you will ever eat outside of France. The only other place I could suggest is from Republique in Los Angeles.I stopped by right at opening time on a Wednesday and was seated right away. At first only 2 or 3 tables were taken but when I left around 10, the place was almost full.Staff is friendly all around, and the restaurant has a simple European aesthetic vibe. The croque madame is so damn delicious. The brioche alone is ridiculously good. Thick, fluffy with a very crispy exterior and all around buttery goodness. It's filled with lean Parisian ham, so much cheesy goodness from the comte, topped with thick rich mornay sauce, perfectly cooked egg, and a light fresh salad on the side. I wanted to try some pastries but this was more than filing for both my stomach and taste of the morning. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting SD and will be back myself.

When in Coronado, one of my favorite restaurants is Little Frenchie. Serving mostly french selections on their menu. They've perfected the usual french dishes: escargot, french onion gratinée soup, steak frittes, moules frittes and more. Everything is Trés Bon. I like the fact that they open earlier than most in the area. At 9am you can have breakfast ie le petit déjeuner and it's not crowded. Like most restaurants, when there's too many diners, attention to service declines. Otherwise, this bistro is very popular for it's outdoor dining where you can enjoy french food while people watching, a very frenchie fun thing to do at Little Frenchie. Recommend.

I went here for brunch on a Saturday. They were busy but we were able to get sat immediately but at a table outside. Half our party was in the sun the entire time. They also have indoor seating. Service was slow but the food was really good. I ordered the Avocado Tartine. It has chèvre cheese, grape tomato, pickled pepper, hemp crumble, poached eggs, and arugula. It was a good portion with a lot of avocado.

Have to say, for a ritzy, touristic hood, this place is legit! Service was slow to start, as we sat on patio w/pups. House champy was delish & French Onion Soup was a winner!

It was one of those days when I needed a bit of a mental/physical lift, as my hubby wasn't with me to usher at the Lamb's Theater. Since my energy was low, I thought I could use a cup of coffee. I overheard some of the other ushers saying that they had just had a delicious lunch at "Little Frenchie's" right next door, so I zipped over before we were called into action. As I walked into the cafe, I was struck with a sense of lightness in the air. The Barista, "Kimber," gave me the warmest smile and asked how I was doing. She gave me a wink as she noticed me wearing my black jacket and pants, "You look like you're going to usher at the theater, right?" I shared that I just needed a jumpstart in the form of caffeine. Kimber quickly put together the best tasting coffee espresso I've ever had! As she was preparing it, the manager, "Sam," came over and with a similar warm smile and greeting, asking if I needed anything else. As I left the place, I immediately felt enlivened after only a few sips. It's great knowing that service with a smile is still alive and well at Little Frenchie!

What a wonderful French cafe! Short rib bourguignon was inspirational! The escargot was some of the best I've had. Everyone at the table loved their food.

I was so impressed to find out that Little Frenchies is a Michelin star restaurant!!!! It makes sense now the higher prices. But the food was great the salads were delicious as well as the French fries served in a basket ! They have a great open indoor with red leather booths lining the walls. Outside there are tables as well, and of course as per their namesake- dog friendly
