Grew up in this area of National City and was surrounded by Filipino food.Growing up, I was raised pretty white-washed but I still managed to find a love for some Filipino foods. The culture at Lisa's is different compared to some other restaurants-- the workers give off Filipino auntie vibes and it's very warm and welcoming. The food itself was delicious, and again being a white-washed Filipino, pork-steak with rice and lumpia was my go-to.Delicious. I don't see myself on stopping coming over here.

The food & prices are great, but I only gave 3 stars to get your attention... do any other mixed Filipino people get racist vibes at Filipino restaurants? It often feels like I'm not tended to in the same ways when I'm not there with my mom, who's ordering in Tagalog. I attempted to order 50 lumpia over the phone for an event at my kid's school the other day. The woman who answered wouldn't take my order & assured me I could walk in w/ this order & they'll have it in 5 mins. I get there on a Friday afternoon about 2:15pm & I'm told they're cleaning the fryer & to come back in an hour. Considering this event was at 3pm, I couldn't afford to do that! I showed them my call log & explained my attempts to order so this wouldn't happen, but they just smiled "Sorry ma'am..." I can't help but wonder if I'd get better service if I was Filipino "enough". Lisa's, please do better, as I'm pretty discouraged from placing our annual Christmas order from you this year, as a result.

When coming to this area I naturally want to hit up Royal Mandarin. Been going there since I was in the Navy. But this time we were in the mood for Filipino food. So we decided to give this place a try. Now I can't remember if this place was something different before 2012. I know there was a Filipino food place in the area but I can't remember if this is the same place. I'm glad we came in. The food was flavorful and the prices were really reasonable. Now I've seen some not so good reviews on here. And a few scary pictures but I guess if you want authentic then this is the place to go. lol! Everybody inside was very friendly. The Ambiance was more like a Subway but that's ok. I didn't really mind. The food was good! And we bought some fried chicken skin and squid sesig to take home and it was all delicious. I'll definitely be coming back.

Everything was delicious. My husband enjoyed his first take of Filipino food. Krispy pata, sisig, daing and more. Food not greasy or floating in oil.

I recently had lunch at Lisa's Filipino Cuisine with a friend and had a mixed experience. We decided to order one combination meal to share since we were still feeling full from our breakfast at the hotel casino. The combination included steamed rice, pancit malabon, pork sisig, beef mechado, 2 okoy, and 2 Turon. Additionally, my friend ordered large size of pancit malabon and a small pack of turon (8pcs) to go.One aspect that was a bit disappointing was when we asked for an extra cup to share the soup they provided. Surprisingly, they charged us $0.25 for the cup. It felt a bit unnecessary and left us with a slightly negative impression. After finishing our meal, we had some leftovers that we wanted to take home. I approached the cashier and requested a plastic bag. However, when she handed it to me, she placed it on the counter instead of handing it directly to me, which I found a bit impolite. It would have been more courteous to hand it to me directly since I was waiting with my hand open. This interaction further added to our disappointment with the overall customer service.Overall, I would rate my experience at Lisa's Filipino Cuisine with 2 stars. While the food was decent and we enjoyed the combination meal, the additional charge for the cup and the lack of politeness from the cashier left us feeling somewhat dissatisfied. There is certainly room for improvement in terms of customer service.

We were in National City today for an event and decided to pick up a large order of CHICKEN PANCIT (4/5 $10) at Lisa's for supper. When I arrived home, I decided to weigh the pancit because the container was heavy. Net, the pancit weighed 32.1 pounds (896 g).There were few people here mid-afternoon, and I was served quickly.

Food is always good! Pretty good for a steam table! What I do appreciate is the portions! No diet when you come eat here bc they give you huge portions! Bbq is always great! Variety is always on point! When we're in the SD area (I'm from AZ) we alway hit up Lisa kitchen with my kids bc they can't get enough bbq sticks. Another plus is you always get free soup! Service is kind of crazy. The ladies are in a rush rush! You better be ready when it's your turn! lol but they are hard working and always kind. Ambiance is typical fast food surroundings! I did enjoy watching what other people were ordering while sitting eating my food. Hehe! Will be back!

Customer service here is garage. I may look Philippina but I am not and I don't speak tagalog but I love Philippinos food. So I go to their restaurants here in National City because I work on NBSD on 32nd Street. Anyways, I've realized that if they speak to me in Tagalog but I speak English I get ignored, this is like the second time this happened to me here at Lisa's. Today I told the lady what my order was and she turned her back to me said something in Tagalog then turned back to the line and asked to help the elderly lady behind me. I don't mind her helping somebody else but let me what what's the status of my order or acknowledge that you got it for action. So I realized my money is worth somewhere else and walked out.
