Lia’s Lumpia

Once you've eaten their food especially their lumpia.....every Filipino Food and lumpia you have that's not from Lia's Lumpia is just OK. Lia's Lumpia has definitely raised the bar!!! Everything was great..Food, Service and Ambiance!!! Excellent food experience!!!

Wow! That was fantastic. That food made me very happy! We had the spam musubi lumpia, sisig tacos and smash burger. Honestly pretty slow service, but appears to be limited staff and everything is made to order! The lumpia was so crispy and we thought the "fusion" cuisine was well done. The sisig could have been a bit more sour/crispy for my personal taste, but it wasn't bad! Smash burger was fine, nothing stellar. But the fries were quite good! Friendly staff and nice outdoor space. Would come again to try some things they were sold out of!

Reminder to self... shame on you for not ordering a side of rice. :: BITE AND SIPPY ::CALAMANSI PEPPER CHICKEN WINGS (6/$10) - traditional bone-in chicken wings, calamansi mayo, crispy garlic, and green onions. I like my chicken wings not saucy and more on the dry rub style. They were able to accommodate to my liking and moderated the amount of calamansi mayo. DAMN these wings were amazing AF. Crispness, taste, flavor executed well. Light crispness on the outside, juicy chicken wings, and a their take of the lemon pepper flavor. The calamansi mayo gave this a lemon/orange flavor and the finely shaved crispy garlic was the best garnish. Flavor on flavor. I have no idea why I didn't order a side of rice when asked if I wanted rice. For sakes, I go to Wingstop and order to-go so I can eat it with rice. Don't pass up on the rice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOUR SEASONS ($2) - canned drink from the PI. This flavor was very tropical. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I cannot wait to come back and eat this again + more.JABA APPROVED. All you good Customers out there, Don't fall for this Frauds deceptive tactics. if you don't want some lying antagonistic fellow in your face then there are better places to go & spend your money. It was just after 2:30 when your doors & gates were open that no one greeted me for a LONG TIME. I didn't count when it was 2:13pm because everything was still shut, we went over this already. People have things to do, not just wait around to simply place an order. You're not Domino's pizza or Starbucks (well known brands that we all know you can place online orders). I just learned about you as a start up Ma & Pa business which I generally tried to support instead of corporate giants like "Chipotle". So much for my efforts. "Banning me" makes no difference to me because I don't ever want to go there with your horrible attitude. You also lied about this: Your own website clearly states that you open at 1pm. Nevermind Google stating the SAME opening hrs. So you can't pin this on yelp stating "oh we have no control of yelps posted hours". Well Yelp doesn't control your website now does it? Didn't think so. So stop trying to be slick. This important review wouldn't have happened if you were just honest. It's not that hard. Lying leads to nowhere.

Lumpia with a twist. There is some crazy creative things going on here at Lia's Lumpia. I talked with co-owner and chef, Spencer. He is part Filipino and Black. Spencer wanted Filipino food to be recognized for more than just pancit and lumpia. Taking a traditional Filipino staple he added different fillings other than the regular ground pork you'd find at every Filipino party. He and his mom have perfected the frying and wrapping of their lumpia wrappers so no matter what you get, it is crisp and not greasy. What gets stuffed into those wrappers borders on ingenious to WTH how did you come up with that? Take for instance his signature Mac N Cheese lumpia. Yeah I said "huh" also. He explained it was his marriage of Filipino and Soul Food. It must be good because it sells out and I was unfortunate not to try any on this visit. He has literally several dozen different takes that he rotates. I did get to try the following:-traditional-nice savory filling-pork belly- my favorite -SPAM musubi-the rice comes out a little crispy so it loses a bit of the sense of a musubi but the flavors are goodToo note, I had to take out which meant about 30 minutes to finally sit down to eat after pick up. The wrappers were still crisp which was pretty nice. This place is totally chill to hang out as well. It's got a sense of home with a lot of family pictures, comfy couches, a dining table, and even an arcade game. The music playing was old school like ZAPP which was my groove lol. I think the best way to enjoy Lia's Lumpia would be with family and friends who are looking for an easy night. Put in an order, I suggest not all at once because these things are hefty,along with some beers, chat the night away and order more as you go along. See if you can talk with Spencer and his mom as well! It will definitely make you feel like you're visiting family not just dining at a restaurant.

Came here with my boyfriend after browsing on yelp for some quick eats in the area. Service was quick and the location was so cozy-- the indoor area and outdoor area are very welcoming and homey. Food was unique and flavorful. My boyfriend and I are both Filipino and thought their unique lumpia flavors were great. Ordered the adobo and regular lumpia, and the smash burger. All was great and the portions were huge. Only note is that parking is very limited-- we circled around 5 times and found a spot a block away.

Hands down MY PLACE FOR LUMPIA!!!The staff is AWESOME. Family business, Spencer and his mom Lia are amazing. We had a Christmas party and they seriously went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Customer service is stellar.Great place for get to togethers, they even have a kids size picnic table!!! Lots of space and the decor just makes you feel at home.The lumpia flavors are out of this world!! Their signature pork/beef lumpia is long and soo tasty. Perfect savory taste, don't need dipping sauce LOL. Portions are filling. Sisig lumpia was my favorite. There's hearty meat chunks and the flavor. OMG yum.Then their dessert lumpia. Just perfect.Lia and Spencer just make you feel at home. It's home cooking yummy. This is a must, you will not regret.All the food was eaten before we could take photos. We will most definitely come back because we need to do a social media taste share.

Food is excellent. My children enjoyed the ambience. Friendly staff that worked to accommodate my kid's picky tastes.

Food- excellent fresh and just the right amount. The lumpia is the best. They roll it the night before opening. Service- excellent we ate at the back porch with enough breeze.Ambiance- excellent. There's front seating, inside and back.

Best lumpia in the San Diego area! They were welcoming, the food is great, and the decor is really cute and homey. I've never had wings that taste like actual lemon and pepper instead of artificial lemon before. We also got a smashburger but it didn't survive long enough for a picture. Everything here is so good, you can't miss.
