Several years ago, I needed a cab ride. My car needed major mechanical work, so I was dropping it off at the mechanic. I needed a ride back to my house, and presumably I'd need a ride back to the mechanic in a day or two when the repairs were finished.So, as I limped my car to the mechanic and parked it there, I called Yellow Cab to call for a ride home. I figured it would be simple, call cab company, cab is sent out, get ride home.Well, the dispatcher I got was rather surly, and made it clear they don't like people just calling to get a ride. . .they very much want you to schedule your cab rides a day or two in advance. They made it clear they didn't have any cabs available right now, but they said they could get one out to me in an hour and a half. Well, I didn't have anywhere else to be, so I waited around in the sketchy part of town the mechanic was in waiting on my cab ride.Two and a half hours later (and me calling after an hour and a half and basically being told to shut up by the dispatcher and they'd get a cab out to me eventually), the cab shows up. The cab itself was a serviceable, reasonably clean yellow minivan. The rate was exorbitant. I am used to taking a cab when I travel in a big city, so I know what to expect if I'm taking a cab in, say, Washington D.C. or in New York. They managed to put New York cab fares to shame with how much they charged. The driver wasn't very personable or friendly, more like a truck driver hauling his cargo (me) from place to place. When he dropped me off at my home, I started calling around to my friends to find someone who could take me to my mechanic in a couple of days, because there was no way I was going to use Yellow Cab again unless I was truly desperate. I'll give them two stars instead of one because they actually sent out a cab when I called, and that cab took me from Point A to Point B as requested, and the cab itself wasn't unsafe or dirty. . .but there were an awful lot of issues with the entire experience that made me realize I couldn't give them more than 2 stars.

Bad bad. They NO SHOWED my scheduled appointment at 6:15 in the am to take me (and a child) to the airport. When I tried to call to see if they were coming, (at 6:20 by this time) I got a recorder saying "they were having high volume" & the voice mail was full. It's almost noon & I am still getting the same message. I'm in Atlanta now. Fortunately I found another way. I have used them before & not had a problem but this was really bad. O

While I don't often have need for a cab in Lexington, I needed a ride home from BlueGrass airport last week. I waved over a cab, and the driver responded quickly, grabbed my bag and put it in the trunk. The driver was a very amiable fellow from Albania, who had moved here from Vegas less than a year ago. We had a pleasant, interesting conversation. How often does that happen? Unfortunately, I didn't focus on his name, but he's the kind of driver you hope to get in cab roulette.

Ordered a cab on 1-4-20, 7:25am for a 8:00am pick up to go to the airport, got a call from the driver at 8:05am saying will be arriving in 10 -15 minutes. 20 minutes went by, called the cab company and was notified the driver had cancelled the pick-up and never notified us of the cancellation. Very bad service, the dispatcher apologized but we had to urgently rush to get another ride to the airport. So unreliable... Will never use this cab company again.

In arranging transportation for a handicapped family member, I called several days before I actually needed to be picked up.Day of taxi ride, called just to make sure they were on their way. On board but not assigned ten minutes before pick up time. Pick up time came & went, called again, on their way. 15 more minutes, called again, van trouble. 15 more minutes, on its way. Driver finally called, where are you located after I gave them address 4 times!!We ended up missing our event due to their lack of any customer service, if that's what it could be called. Will NEVER use these people again. Feel very sorry for disabled people of Lexington who need timely, reliable transportation.

I called for a cab, after waiting 30 minutes I called back the man who answered the phone said it would be 15 more minutes. After a further 30 minutes I called back and got no answer. My call went to a full voicemail box. Absolutely terrible!

Yellow cab should not be in business!! They had my grandmother waiting for two hours to get picked up. I called to see what was going on they said that the driver had canceled her ride and that they was going to send him back out and he will be there to get her in 15 minutes. A hour later the cab driver still isn't here and the dispatch isn't answering the phone now. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS!! I'm very unhappy
