Yamato

I keep trying to like this place because it's local and convenient and I don't always feel like driving to Hibachi in Charleston. The restaurant needs better ventilation. I always have to place my order as "to go" so I can cut up the chicken into smaller bites and reheat everything in a wok at home. My recent order of teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki? And the dressing was too watery.

Food was okay. I got shrimp and chicken and fried rice. The rice was hard. The shrimp was overcooked and the chicken was dry and bland. The best thing we had there was the onion soup and the ragoon. Also I'm only assuming it's because we went like an hour til closing but the service was barely good. She was friendly but never came around to ask if we needed anything. We had to stop her on the way to do something else just to get refills on the $8 pops we ordered. It was quiet and relaxing but like someone else said it needs more ventilation. I would try again but maybe not so late in the night. I kinda feel bad for being there so late but at the same time, I've been a server and know exactly what needs to be done.

The food here is amazing, if you're in Logan then I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Got the chicken yakisoba. It was the driest chicken I've ever tasted. Tasted like it was made either the day before or way earlier that day and reheated. Also, it was unseasoned chicken. It was bland.

Very delicious sushi and great rice. I would say Yamato's is better than most (NOT ALL) sushi in Charleston or Beckley, and a close tie with others. If you like Kimono Kin's you will love Yamato's. I can not wait to try the rest of the menu.

Foods good, service is good, I love how it's the only one around logan couldn't be more happy
