We almost passed this bar up Saturday night. It appeared quiet and small from the outside. We were quickly pleased when we walked in. The drinks were HALF THE PRICE , the music was better, and we got our drinks in half the time. We ended our evening there! Great staff, great prices, amazing vibe!

In Bardstown and wanted music and drinks to finish our night. Xavier's was a short walk from our Airbnb so we went in. Warm and inviting we quickly found a table and got drinks. Maybe it's a Kentucky thing, but several locals talked to us right away making us feel welcomed. Husband says the bartender was very friendly and made a "damn fine Manhattan".The environment was friendly, the bathrooms were clean and the drinks were cold. To our delight, live music started. Ryan Raikes took the small stage and we were blown away. Friendly and very talented, he played many of our favorites. The sound was not overwhelming for the space. When leaving we felt like were leaving old friends and will be back for another visit!

Very relaxing bar. Good music in the background and great back porch. Good selection of whiskey and beer served by a beautiful and kind Bartender. Loved hanging out with the locals in such a beautiful bar! Tell Bob I said hi!

This place is an armpit, no draft beer and the bartender did not know how to make a Manhattan... In Kentucky.

Since this is the only bar open in Bardstown on Monday evenings, we decided to check it out. We were in town for the bourbon and thought it would be fun to get a drink after dinner. We arrived around 9pm and the bar was largely empty with just a few locals there. We were disappointed with the bourbon selection. They had maybe 12-15 different bottles plus a few other random bottles like a vodka and a tequila. I asked about the beer selections and the bartender walked over to an upright cooler (like you'd see in a convenience store) and rattled off about 10 choices. All of them were standard options, nothing local or craft, and nothing on tap. The bartender was friendly, nice, and efficient. The locals did seem happy to have us there and were very friendly. But one local woman was actually TOO friendly, if you get my drift, and it made us fairly uncomfortable. We ended up leaving after just one drink as soon as we could gracefully extricate ourselves from the situation.Bottom line: it IS your only bar option if you're looking for a drink on Monday night but set your expectations low, there is no real ambiance to speak of and the selection is very pedestrian considering it's in the heart of bourbon country.
