Wingfield Inn & Suites

I made a reservation with them, and upon arriving was told that I did not have a reservation. I showed them a copy of the email I had from "bookonline.com" and they informed me that I should call the reservation company and cancell the reservation. I did, and received a response that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. I waited in the lobby for over two hours, and ended up going somewhere else. The issue I have with the property, is that when the insurance company that I paid to assure I would get a refund for something exactly like this called the front desk, they said I was a "NO SHOW" which is absolutely false!!! No integrity whatsoever. Upon looking at the property, it was probably best I didn't stay there. Plenty of sketchy things going on in the parking lot, homeless people hanging around wanting handouts, and overall felt kind of sketchy. I would have given zero stars, or negative stars if this was an option.

Check in was awesome. Room is very clean. Breakfast was what you can expect from a hotel. I am giving 5 stars because it's clean fresh smelling . Nice people. Those who read my post know I am vet picky . So when I give 5 stars they deserve it.

I had a bit of mixed opinions about this hotel.It was very nice that they accommodate pets and are relatively affordable. The hotel seems nice outside the room. The staff was friendly.Unfortunately there were some pretty bad points. There was a streak in the toilet as soon as we opened the door (ick!). There were cracker crumbs and obvious leafs/dirt all over the floor / just under the edge of the bed like it wasn't vacuumed. The room had a musty smell. Those last two points were quite strange since we realized the carpet was all moist and our socks were sopping up brown liquid (triple yuck!). To be fair - I get that there must be maintenance and did hear someone talking to the staff in the morning that sounded like they were cleaning all of the carpets. Another minor but annoying gripe - the key cards didn't work well.On the bright side they still had warm food prepared - a couple of varieties of pre-prepared breakfast burritos served to you so you can stay safe during the pandemic. Masks were required in the halls.Overall I've certainly stayed at worse places, but considering the price it seems like they'd be able to allow a few vacant blocks while they cleaned the carpets - and maybe check over the cleaning personnel a little better.

This is an amazing hotel for the money!! It is very clean, updated, really nice decor, big clean outdoor pool, amazing staff, big room and bathroom, Great breakfast, did I mention very clean??? All for $80!! (Or less for certain discounts)!! I travel a lot. Are usually stay at hotels that are older but clean. This one has all the amenities of the really fancy hotels (except the comforter is not quite as fluffy but still nice). Breakfast included bacon, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, waffles, pastries and muffins, cereal, or hard-boiled eggs... And other fixings!!

Not flashy or swanky, but comfortable and affordable. The breakfast wasn't great, but there was options nearby.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Reasonably priced for a studio room. King bed, couch and armchair with a second tv. Bathroom was good. Beds were comfy. Very clean! Lots of choices at (free) breakfast. Friendly staff! Only thing i didn't like was the coffee that was served. But still happy with our stay!

This place is not currently closed however it probably should be. The hotel is actually nicely decorated and doesn't smell bad. Has a decent breakfast with waffles, pancakes, eggs, and cereal. The cleaning crew is a hot mess and very petty. They didn't clean our room one night and we complained to the hotel staff and had to get fresh towels. The next morning we were woken up by an alarm set at 6:30am. I guess that was maids revenge. Through our entire 6 night stay there was also a lady that continually cussed and yelled all day long. Maid let me know she had been here since October and they can't do anything about it but move you to another room. Basically look for another hotel to stay at as this one is you get less than what you pay for. I wish I could give this place no stars!

I absolutely loved staying here, those that work here are extremely nice and accommodating, breakfast is served every morning w a plethora of options, the bed was super comfortable and the shower was perfect! 5 stars for sure!

Bed bugs! Worst stay I have ever had in owensboro, next time I'll just stay at the Motel 6.
