Two thumbs way up for the production tour ($25) at Wild Turkey. It may be the most comprehensive distillery tour we've ever taken. Don't take that to mean that it was boring--It was totally engaging. Tyler was our guide and he knows his stuff. The place is spread out so they drive you from the visitor center to the distilling building to the rick house and back to the visitor center. And in case you didn't hear, the visitor center is new and gorgeous--check out the photos. The tour ends with a tasting that is really generous in its portions. Combine that with the fact that I drank my wife's servings and let's just say it hit the spot. Wild turkey is a real standout among the many distillery tours we've done.

Amazing facility supposedly designed like Jimmy Russel's living room. Good Bourbon!!! The view from the facility and occasionally you can see people jumping of the bridge bungee that is. Order a drink and keep the glass.

We did the premium tasting experience and it did not disappoint! Bo, out guide, was very experienced and personable. The selection that we tried was excellent. The visitor center is lovely, with a great view of the Kentucky River. Drinks were great afterwards, and we got to keep out glasses. Purchase the single barrel afterwards (only available in the gift shop) as well as another harder to find Russell single barrel rye. Would definitely go back. Great place to bring out of towners.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by staff and everyone was so nice. We went up to the bar upstairs and had a great time chatting with the bartenders and learning more about wild turkey. We were also fortunate to have Bo as our tour guide who went above and beyond on his tour. We learned so much about the history of Wild Turkey and it wasn't your usual spiel about how to make bourbon that you get at every other distillery. The tour bus driver was also very nice and made sure we watched our steps while getting in and out since it was raining.

The tour guide Mike was amazing. The level of knowledge was well beyond any other tour we had been on during our trip to the bourbon trail. Also loved the distillery only bottle you could purchase.

I've toured about a dozen distilleries and the Wild Turkey tour was one of the best, if not the best. It was fascinating to hear about its history and of Jimmy and Eddie Russell's history with Wild Turkey. The new visitor's center is beautiful. Wild Turkey is located very near several other distilleries, so it is easy to visit several of the major distilleries in a couple of days. The drive from Lexington was 30 minutes and from Frankfort is 20 minutes. It's not far from I-64. I highly recommend touring Wild Turkey. Our tour guide, Dwight, was great and shared many interesting stories about Wild Turkey and about Jimmy and Eddie Russell. It's also interesting to hear about how the different distilleries help one another in times of need.

We found out the night before that the new visitors center was open so we made a quick visit before another scheduled tour. There is a nice amount of parking but the star of this location is the outside view. Just beautiful! There is an upstairs bar as well as a tasting bar in the gift shop on the lower level. Wish we would've had more time to spend here.

The Russell's Reserve Immersion tour was incredible. Bo, the tour guild, was very knowledgeable and kept us all intrigued and fascinated with his tour stops and what he chose to talk about. This tour did not so much focus on the distillation process at WT, but the history of the site and the Russell's themselves. Visiting rickhouse 'A' brought you back to 130 years ago with all the history in that place. And the smell was exceptional! I've never smelled a place quite like that in my life, it was awesome. The tasting after the tour was great too, with Russell's 13 being on the flight for us.I cannot recommend this specific tour enough. Bo is a superstar and is a big reason why this may be my favorite distillery tour I've ever been on.

Love this distillery. Been on the Bourbon Trail a number of times and stoppedby Wild Turkey 3 times now and will ALWAYS return when I revisit that leg of the trail. Everytime I return, I learn something. Today we viaited and had Taylor as our guide. Great guy! And very passionate and held a wealth of knowledge about this distillery. Would definitely returnnot only because of him and obviously the Wild Turkey brand alone. So sad to hear ofthe passing of Bubba (ex-marine corp drill sergeant tour guide). That gentleman was a legend. My group I came with routinely shared the experience and stories about him and told everyone to visit the distillery alone just on his presentation. RIP Bubba!Taylor had big shoes to fill and did an excellent job carrying that baton. This guy had so much knowledge and passion about this distiller, I could have seen hanging with this giy around the firepit sipping bourbon all night long letting him drop knowledge on us. We hit multiple distiller and it was easy to tell who had the passion and knowledge versus what appeared to be scripted off a virtual tele prompt. Nearly felt like other (major local distillery) was trying to sellme a used car. Ironically that distillery has a major car manufacturer name In it's name. Overall, GO and visit this distillery on your visit! It will NOT disappoint. I don't write too many reviews but felt compelled after todays visit!
