Western Hostel

This is one of the worst place to stay it's ran like a homeless shelter and it's clean the owner just wants to take your money and doesn't care about the property. He keeps going up on the payments one week. He says it's that one thing in the next week and something else I would never stay here. It doesn't even deserve one star.

I lived at the hostel like 20 years ago I was working in a restaurant downtown and I partied my ass off. I was drunk the entire time I lived at the hostel. The rooms are tiny with a shared kitchen and bathroom

First off this place is by no means a "hostel" It is more like a halfway house/ room you rent by the week (or longer) But as I was coming in from out of state and during Derby weekend I needed a place to stay and it was affordable at $90 a week. I had my own room with TV and Mini Fridge. The management was very friendly and helpful. I had paid an extra week in order to so to speak reserve a room since it is first come first serve establishment. Yet with that known I'm not sure how one is to produce a clean background check in order to procure a room, In addition to a $100 deposit. Needless to say if you like BED BUGS stay here. If you don't, then DON"T. After staying a week my body was literally covered head to toe with bed bug bites. And I'm not talking about a few bites here and there I'm talking hundreds of bites. I'm talking Urgent Care, steroids and antihistamines. The people there were friendly and nice the place was simply unclean and infested.
