Washington Square Cafe

Stopped in for lunch at Washington Square, and we were blown away! From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated in their cozy outdoor tent area, which was so inviting and comfortable.The service was nothing short of amazing--friendly, attentive, and quick. Speaking of quick, the food came out so fast we could hardly keep up!The menu is incredible, with so many delicious options it was hard to decide. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. We're already planning our next visit to try more of their great dishes! Highly recommend this spot if you're in Burlington.

Food rate the food a 3 star. Service rate is 4 star. Ambiance about a 3 star. The food i'd rate so so. Nothing to write home about. It was a rainy morning, I have to say that because of the rain the sidewalk showed the dips on the trail in. With it raining you try to get in quickly, well they have a parking spot right before the entrance. It doesn't help having a vehicle parked right there. You have to walk into the street. Parking I give them a 1star. Bad experience with rain, not a good combination. Overall, a definite 2.5.

Fabulous and fresh brunch. 8 of us sat on the enclosed patio and enjoyed our delicious omelets, eggs, and other goodies. Very fresh veggies in the omelets and tasty potatoes and fruit sides. Service was outstanding. Lunch items were also available, but we all opted for breakfast. Great stop!!

Attentive service and good food. The home fries are basic, omelet was good, bread had a lot of butter on it. Overall a basic breakfast place.

First time here and it was amazing! Had breakfast outside on the patio. Wonderful service! The fried Goetta planks were AMAZING! I had the grammas favorite and everything tasted great. My fiance had the ultimate bowl and looked great. Portion size was great too! Can't wait to go back and try the lunch and dinner menu!

What a lovely café! We had an amazing outdoor dining experience at breakfast on a Sunday morning. This is a fun place to meet up & eat. Lots of menu choices. Something for everyone! The food tasted so good & our service from David was unimaginably awesome. I ordered the classic Egg sandwich and subbed marbled rye toast for wheat/white. Soooo yummy! You won't be disappointed. This is a must-go restaurant! Kid-friendly. Wheelchair accessible. Go & enjoy!

What a fun spot to get bloody Marys and breakfast on a Saturday morning. So glad we stopped by. Got to sit outside and enjoy he beautiful spring weather on Mother's Day weekend. I started with a spicy Bloody Mary and since I'm vegan I had the fresh fruit bowl, sliced tomatoes and unbuttered toast. It was delicious and filling. Service was quick and efficient. I would recommend and come back again.

What an adorable neighborhood spot, nestled in Historic Burlington!If you're looking at those Yelp stars wondering if you should give this place a chance ... you DEFINITELY should. I believe they changed management within the last year - and our first experience here was so memorable, we'll probably be back next weekend!Street parking is free and easy to find. You enter right into the patio seating area, and even though it was almost completely full, they found us a table right away. That makes a big difference when it comes to brunch ... because that's not usually a meal you want to stand around and wait for.My fiancé and I each started off with a Spicy Bloody Mary ... and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were! These drinks had a good balance of sweet and heat, with some fun garnishes on top.I ordered the Chicken & Waffles, which were topped with a Bourbon Maple Cream. This is not your traditional maple syrup ... and it ties the dish together so well. The only small thing I will say is if you like the warmth of maple syrup on your waffles, you might be missing that component here. The cream was sweet, and honestly made me want to lick the plate. The waffle was fluffy and chewy, and the chicken was perfectly crispy.My fiancé ordered the "Ultimate Bowl," and he loved every bite. Bacon, sausage, goetta, gravy, home fries, eggs ... it's probably the best thing to order when you want a little bit of everything. The gravy was creamy and peppery without being too heavy ... next time, we'll ask for an extra side of it! The service was great - and they flipped tables pretty quickly, so no one that we saw come in had to wait more than just a few minutes. After tax and tip, our bill was only $55, which is incredible considering how much you might spend for brunch in OTR. We will certainly be back soon to try their lunch and/or dinner menus!!

Great food, great service, and excellent service! Recommendations for breakfast through the week instead of your typical fast food stops.

Quantity and quality was less than desired. $9 breakfast consisted of 1 slice of toast, 2 pieces of bacon, and what appeared to be O'Brien potatoes sans veggies with 2 eggs.Service was ok but table next to me receive won't order.Ambiance was ok albeit patio on chilly day with adult contemporary music.Water was horrible, must have been Ohio River unfiltered tap water.
