Walker's Exchange

Service is HORRIBLE! AVOID this place. I arrived at just after 8 pm with about 25 percent of the seats filled. I was seated and for the next 10 minutes watched several servers and the manager stand around, and take care of the other diners. No one looked at me. No one came over to ask about water or offer me a drink. Even if the place was packed I would at least expect someone to acknowledge that I was there.I got up and complained to the manager as I left.I never got the chance to try the food, and based on the service, I never will return.

We had our annual friendsmas event here after checking around for a venue. Our reservation was for 6PM and our waiter was Adam. This is a very nice venue that can hold a very large group. The food was delicious. We tried so many dishes between all of us. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was slow. Very slow. That's the one thing that was odd since there was really no one n the restaurant but us. There seemed to be plenty of staff, however they just weren't moving fast. The decorations for the holidays were fabulous. I'd go back when I'm not worried about having a rushed meal.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had. Service was horrendous, food was marginal at best, and the decor was retirement home furniture. Not what I expected from a famous property like the Galt House.A particular disappointment was the so called French Onion Soup. At $8 for a serving I expected a robust soup, with great carmelized onions with a nice slice of baguette on top with melted cheese bubbling over the side of the crock.What I got was a bowl of beef broth, with some plain onions on the bottom, a quarter slice of some kind of cheese (the non-melting kind) sitting atop a small cracker. What a waste of money. The server dropped off all the food at the same time, so we were fighting between our appetizers and main course, trying to eat them while they were somewhat warm.THe place was empty and most of the serviers and management were just standing around chatting and not paying attention to diners. A smart team would have sensed an issue at our table and possibly addressed it. The only time we saw our server was when he took the order and brought us the check. Needless to say, we'll never set foot into any of the restaurants at the Galt House after this experience.

Looks like a retirement home cafeteria. Service was exceedingly slow. Food selection was tiny, and the ingredients and preparation left a lot to be desired. I would avoid this one.

Do yourself a favor. Order the porkchop w mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Then ask your server to replace the chop and mashed with only brussel sprouts. You'll thank me later . ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS

We went to Walker's Exchange for dinner on Valentine's Day. One issue we had was that we were given paper menus (pictured) that had food and drinks listed. When trying to order drinks from the menu, we were told that the drink portion of the menu is outdated and they brought us a separate smaller drink menu, which also had food listed, which was confusing. Both menus had food and drink listed but one only had food available and one had drinks available only. We heard several tables near us also confused about this. The menus were printed on regular paper, so I don't understand why they didn't just print accurate menus, especially since the menus were worn and stained anyway. When told the dinner specials, our waitress told us they had a T-Bone steak special available. I asked what size, and her response was "pretty big" and shrugged. She never made an effort to go ask and let us know how many ounces it was. My water glass went empty several times throughout the meal. The food was ok, but not great. We waited 30 minutes for our entrees to come out, and it was not busy. I am beginning to understand why. Cocktails were overpriced. Overall would not come here again, would rather stay home and cook a meal.

A lot of space to move around. Friendly wait staff. Took my family for brunch. Barely any options to choose from. Not quite sure about breakfast. We arrived after breakfast had ended.

It was a very pretty restaurant. But the seating hostess was very curt and dismissive; we almost left. She was horribly rude!The food here took quite a while to get to us even though there were many empty tables. 0ur eggs and potatoes were tasty, but the turkey sausage patties were like hockey pucks and the waffle was overcooked and even hard to cut.Our waitress did come check on us and chat with us . Michelle was nice and seemed very concerned when I mentioned my feelings about the Seating hostess. It was nice to be heard and listened to.However, We will not go back or recommend this restaurant. It was just ok food, with some rude service. Unless you are desperate for food-Save your tipping money, go elsewhere!*Bearl Pizza was a yummy dinner option to walk to!

Never again. We looked at the menu before we went and when we arrived they handed us half the menu and said tonight was the "express menu " no entrees, only apps, soups and salads and handhelds. I did get to watch another chef make pizzas for an adjoining bar but was not offered those. I think as locals we just expected more from the famous Galt House. I will never go back to walkers exchange. Had I been told the bar offered pizza and other menu items I would have chosen that. Did make for a disappointing date night

our server was fantastic! The food was the restaurant is beautiful! This is a wonderful option for anyone staying at the hotel or just in the area
