Vintage Style and Designs

It's an incredibly cute shop, filled with clothes, candles, jewelry and they offer a bunch of stuff to coordinate with whatever holiday is close by. I have bought Christmas ornaments, gifts for people, lotion and a great pair of thick leggings that are great in the winter.I saw they are closing in August because apparently the owner of the building is renovating the whole space. I hope they stay on Bardstown road because this kind of shop is special to this area and it is a great addition!

This shop is located amongst vintage and street wear clothing options, and offers more of a cozy, farmhouse feel. During my visit the Christmas season was center stage, but I noticed on their IG page that they keep up with other holidays and seasons. This shop offers home decor, jewelry, clothing and accessories, food/snacks and more. I thought it was a great space for finding a reasonable splurge on yourself and/or a gift. I stopped by Vintage Style and Designs on a recent visit to Bardstown road in Louisville. Immediately we were greeted by the smell of the candles up front as well as a warm welcome from the woman behind the register who chatted us up during our visit. The candles smelled SO good and I ended up purchasing one. It was a little small ($10), but the smell is amazing (although it does burn pretty quickly). There were lots of home decor items, though I don't know that 'vintage' is the first word that would have come to mind when shopping here. Things felt pretty trendy looking here. The woman who chatted with us was SO kind and event recommended a couple other businesses on Bardstown road to check out. Vintage Style and Designs is a delightful little gem on Bardstown road!

What a great eclectic little store, not too much, just enough items to make the visit interesting. Variety of soaps, candles, handmade items, Jolie paint and General Finishes products. I was so glad to find a store that has live people to help with questions about chalk paint and different finishes - so difficult to find. I was struggling with a furniture project and was able to come away with the perfect stain and ideas for the top coat. Sandy was very helpful and friendly, she seemed truly interested in my project and my dilemma. I needed another eye to get me over the block.

I used Vintage Style and Design to paint a bar in my basement. The owner did an AMAZING job in a very quick time frame!! I look forward to more projects and recommend them and their products!
