Uptown Bar

Great local bar! I'm from Chicago and was happy to find this place, thanks to Yelp! Highly recommended.

Came here for karaoke night on a Saturday, absolutely loved it! Everyone there was very nice from the other bar goers to the bartenders. Dj was awesome and kept things rolling good. They did kick a gay couple out and that rubbed me wrong.. That's the only reason it's not a 5 star for me.

Hey Amber, as a long time guest at uptown if you really feel this way about any bar you attend once should have been fine. I think I know the the name and you were never welcomed by us locals so yes please stay away. We locals do not like over drinkers that become loud and rude to bar tenders and other gust

You can get a cold beer for a very reasonable price. The bartenders are all pretty awesome, and they all bring more than drinks to you. Aside from the exceptional service, they will treat you like a friend. Nick made me feel like I had been a regular for years, Gypsy actually performs karaoke songs while simultaneously serving drinks. I've never seen anything like her, and I've called Las Vegas home for 9 years. Jen is a super sweet girl who will make sure your glass is full. It's a small dive bar full of down to earth people, stop in, make some friends, be responsible, and tip well. This is the place to wind down for me, a hard working, family man.

There aren't many bars around that don't feel like a hassle after a couple hours there; it can be exhausting trying to keep up with the mayhem of an over-packed bar, especially if you are the type who likes hole-in-the-wall places to unwind like I do. Uptown is just that, a laid back little place tucked away inconspicuously next to a wallgreens; but don't let the small bar fool you! They pack a lot of good vibes and fun times into the place! Gypsy, one of the main bartenders, is sweet and friendly. You walk in and it feels like you've arrived at a friend's house, and Gypsy is the perfect hostess, making you feel welcome and well taken care of. They have Karaoke in the back room, and I've never seen such a supportive, comedic crowd! The guy who runs it, Nick, is the life of any party! The drinks are fairly priced, and the bathrooms were clean as far as I could tell! The only downfall to this place is that they are cash only, so be prepared with cash, or arm yourself for an ATM fee!
