We had an amazing tour with Jeff. We toured three different horse farms. We were able to pet horse on the first farm and learn all about the workings of the farm.Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and so engaging. He has been working in the industry for years and followed in the foot steps of his father and grandfather. We could have listened to him all day. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer and we felt like we learned so much from the 3 hours we spent on the tour. The tour bus was comfortable and the tour was well priced. I would highly recommend this tour.

Shaun was one of the best tour guides I have ever had! The tour was beautiful and Shaun was brilliant. Not only was he funny and informational, he was a joy to be around. The tour it's self was amazing, but Shaun went above and beyond to make our experience memorable.I will definitely becoming back!

We visited three farms and spent close to 3 hours on the tour. The tour operator (Sean) grew up in the area and has befriended the farm owners. He truly knows the who's who of the industry. The first farm we were able to pet a number of horses - including American Apple who has won a couple races as a 2-yr old. She was the softest horse I've ever pet. Sean told us a number of stories and provided a good overview of history and the ins and outs of horse racing. At the second farm the owner met us at one of the barns and told us about the farm, racing and her history with horses. She was so down to earth and was a hoot to talk to - especially knowing she was a billionaire. The last farm we were able to feed three Clydesdales. They had such great personalities and were super friendly.I'd highly recommend the tours. Sean knows his stuff and has a great personality to share the knowledge and friendships he's developed about the horse world in Lexington.

Everyone should add a horse farm tour to their bucket list. Just make sure you book it with Shaun at Unique Horse Farm Tours. He's a very knowledgeable and entertaining guy! After visiting three farms and interacting with multiple horses, he took us to the Bluegrass Stockyards where we watched a cattle auction. What fun!! Shaun said if we ever want another tour, remind him of the farms we've seen and he'll take us to different locales. Giddy-up!

If you have 2-3 hrs in Lexington, KY, take the time to go on a horse tour. I enjoyed getting up close with the thoroughbred horses in the area. Each farm was beautiful with great landscaping and tons of acreage. I particularly favored the KatieRich Farm since we visited various barns with mares and yearlings. I made sure I took pictures of them all so I could remember their names when I watch them in the Kentucky Derby one day.

Excellent tour! Sean was very knowledgeable, entertaining and made sure everyone in the small group felt welcomed and had a pleasant time, from young to old! Our driver did an excellent job chauffeuring us around and our ride was nice and clean. The drive was well worth it seeing such beautiful country and vistas along the way and just being able to look out and enjoy! The horse properties we visited were gorgeous and the animals stunning. Questions were welcomed and such great info was given at each stop and along the way. Sean went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience! Do not hesitate to book this tour and to see behind the scenes of horse country and appreciate what the Lexington area is known for!

Anyone wanting to the "Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse Farm" experience should contact Shaun at The Unique Horse Farm Tours. If this is not on your Bucket List, it should be added. Shaun picked us up at the Embassy Suites in Lexington and took us to three (3) thoroughbred farms. We visited barns full of horses and colts and in some cases were allowed to pet and give peppermints to some of the horses. There was one farm where the yearlings lined themselves up along the fence so we could pet them. Another farm's beauty was breathtaking.Shaun's knowledge of Kentucky's thoroughbred industry made it possible for him to answer our many questions about the farms and horses. We're already making plans to go back this fall!

My husband & I had a tour scheduled for 5/2/2023. The driver, Shaun, canceled the night before because we were the only 2 people scheduled for the early morning tour. Our travel schedule didn't allow for us to go with the later tour so he said he'd refund our full amount paid. We are easy-going- it wasn't a big deal for us. We had planned to rebook with him on our next trip to town. The refund never showed. I reached out after a few weeks. He dodged my calls. After finally getting ahold of him, he apologized profusely and promised to then send a refund check since the card refund "didn't work". Well, its been yet a few more weeks, and NO refund check has shown. Can't seem to get ahold of him again... ugh. Such a disappointment. Come on, Shaun, this is no way to do business.

I can't say enough good things about our horse tour. We went on our first one today and we absolutely LOVED it, no wonder it has such high ratings. The guide, Shawn Washington, was very knowledgeable and funny as well. He not only helped make things really interesting, but made us laugh and brought humor to the morning. The farms were indescribably beautiful. I was so ... glad I got to pet a horse and feed them a peppermint, it made my morning wonderfully wonderful as well as my heart smile. I highly recommend this tour. I had no idea when we went on it that it would bring us so much joy. It created a desire for me to have a horse (I don't know how thrilled my husband is about that,) but for the first time we've started talking about it.
