Picked up this 2.6 lb beef arm roast yesterday for just over $10. Can't wait to crock pot this baby all day!

If you're looking for a butcher shop that's easy to get in and out of, you're barking up the wrong tree.If you're looking for a butcher shop that both makes all of its own products in-house and always has a variety of products (of which varies from visit to visit), this is your place. They might have pork, lamb, or beef in any sort of cut (rump roast, sirloin steak, "neck slices", filets, bacon, varietal sausages and beef sticks, etc etc etc) and there's no telling what you're going to find here at any certain time. However, since students are making the product, it's usually quite inexpensive and always of good quality. Plus, all the meat is local, which always tastes better I don't care what anyone say.The bad news is that it's hard to find, the hours are extremely limited, and it's first-come-first-serve. Shop at your own risk, or just let me keep this place to myself.

While the location is somewhat obscure and hours are limited, it's worth a visit. The meat is very good and reasonably priced. Some products are seasonal, such as lamb in the spring. I have their product list, and can call ahead if I want something in particular to insure they have it. There's always been a butcher in the back to help,if need be. Note, parking anywhere at UK is a nightmare, but I was told I can park right at the door -- and it's an easy in-and-out.
