True North Coffee House

The coffee & matcha is still great. One of my favorite Matchas around actually. The boutique is no longer connected in the space next door. Just wanted to clarify that.

I have been here twice now, once during a work day morning for coffee with a friend and once on a Saturday after the Farmer's market. Much busier in Saturday, but still quick to get my drink and enough seating to relax and read while I had it.The second time, I had an Alien - matcha and raspberry(?). Sweet, but very well balanced he enjoyable. Iced was my choice with the heat and it worked very well.The location has a few items for purchase as well as coffee bags and such. Shirts are soft and the books and reusable bags are trending towards the eco-friendly atmosphere.If you are looking for a friendly coffee or tea place that's not a large chain and has plenty of seating for relaxing or a bit of remote working, go check out True North!

True North was a happy break during our Saturday shopping in New Albany. My family was greeted right away and we enjoyed our drinks in the back room with chairs and couches. However, there's a lot of seating in the front room near the barista stand and it offers great natural lighting. The team making our drinks was friendly and pointed out their seasonal menu. I got the pistachio cold brew and when I asked about the sweetness they offered to tame it down a bit, which made it perfect. I wanted a cold coffee and having the pistachio flavor made it unique. There's so much on the seasonal menu to try, and if I lived closer I'd already be back today. Thanks for a great experience True North!

Beautiful inside. Plus any owner who invests in a La Marzocco for espresso should be rewarded with our business. La Marzocco is an instrument of great craftmanship and beauty. Made in Florence Italy, it defines great espresso as much as Sofia Loren defines beauty. -1* because they serve espresso in a paper cup. Oh the humanity. A small warmed ceramic cup is the proper destiny for espresso.

I love their coffee, however, one barista who works here has been consistently rude. She seems to never smile and honestly is very just mean, this is coming from someone who has been a barista. She yelled very loudly that they were closing in two minutes abruptly and stared at us, after already letting us know they close soon. If you choose to come by, I would recommend their Miele latte, Sweet Cream Cold Brew, or their americano.

Very good coffee, relaxing atmosphere, limited seating.Admittedly, I haven't tried many of the offerings that True North provides, but my mocha latte was spot on; great flavor and temperature. The menu looked pretty standard with a few specialized drinks and there were some pastries and other goodies if you want something to snack on as well. The space is comfortable and relaxing. The tasteful art is mounted on light gray walls with rich wood tones and plenty of potted plants around to break up the hard lines. There isn't much in the way of seating for a room this big and most of the tables were for 4-6, so I would feel a little less ready to work or read here than other shops, even with the free Wi Fi. The stools are also a little too high or the tables are a little too short, so I kept hunching. Form is great, function could use some work. This seems to be part of a growing True North complex, so don't get confused by the other True North businesses next door. I could definitely see myself coming here for coffee again!

I'm a sucker for cute, local coffee shops and True North just happens to be one of those cute, local coffee shops. They offer a variety of coffees, lattes, teas, and muffins/cookies. They also have a seasonal drink menu.

Really cute, sunny little cafe with a classy little gift shop attached right next door. The Red Velvet Latte special was delicious, rich and creamy with sweet raspberry flavor. Yum. They also carry a nice selection of flavored olive oils and vinegars for retail purchase.

Very quaint coffee shop with a serene and cool vibe. If looking a quiet place to relax, work or study this is it!! I had the Red Velvet Cold Creme brew and it was AHHHMaZING!!!! Tasted like a red velvet cake. Highly recommend. Hubs had the Hazelnut Dark Chocolate latte. Warm and excellent as well. We sampled some vegan banana bread from Soul Sisters Bakery and it was delicious. Highly recommend a stop into True North in New Albany,

I've had this cafe saved for the longest time, and i'm so glad I finally got to try it! Ample street parking on an adorable Market street, and it's connected to the boutique next door. We got the peaches & cream cold brew with an iced latte. I was surprised that it was so empty- it's sooo good and very spacious inside. There's a changing table in a single bathroom as well. Loveee all the plants in the front. Will be returning!Only warning: wifi is free but SUPER slow
