I am so glad I ran across this place on my way to Greenbo Lake State Park! It was a delicious, filling lunch after spending the morning on the lake. The staff was excellent - all the workers, not just our waitress, stopped by our booth multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food also came out extremely fast for half of the inside seating being full. Bathrooms were single rooms and averagely clean. There is also covered outdoor seating available! I got the Chiles Rellenos and so did my mom. It was the perfect amount of spicy and filled us up for the rest of the day. We also split two delicious small bowls of queso. That and both our meals rang up to a little over $11 - after checking, the waitress confirmed the price, which must be a lunch special. What a delicious deal!

October 24, 2020 - While staying at the nearby Greenbo Lake State Park lodge, we came here for something different than the food at the park restaurant, and Tres Hermanos delivered!Every other table was marked off in order to achieve social distancing between groups. The servers were wearing masks, and were friendly.Hubby ordered the Classic Steak and Shrimp Fajitas, while I ordered a Combination with a tamale, chile rellano, and a cheese enchilada. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the visit.

While camping at Greenbo Lake State Park, I thought I'd scope out something nearby to splurge on. When I read that the only reviewer said that this was the best restaurant within several counties, I figured I'd play it safe and depend on that. Plus, Chad posted a picture and no bad review, so I figured it had to be ok. It was just that, just ok. Was it worth going an hour out of the way? No. When we walked in, we stood there for several minutes while waiters walked by, never acknowledging us. Finally, one motioned us to the dining area. Well, that made us feel welcome. Just like every small town dining experience, everyone in the dining room gave us the eye, like "who are those foreigners". The dining area is tiny, like 15 tables max. So, the sound of the hyped up kids a few tables over was ramped up a few more notches. Seriously parents, don't allow your kids to order Mountain Dew when they are already too hyper to be in public. They ordered after us and were already in that mode. I literally considered walking out it was so bad. I ordered the Chimichangas Rellena. Two flour tortillas with a choice of either chicken or beef tips. I chose beef, but when my order arrived, the chimichangas were stuffed with ground beef. So, when I mentioned it to the waiter, he said that's what the menu offered. Oh, no, no, no... I'd already taken a picture of said menu. It specifically said beef tips... big difference. Everything on my plate was cold. You remember the mentioned family who ordered after us, they received their food before us, and I'm quite sure ours was ready and waiting, before theirs. I will say that he brought out two more chimichangas within five minutes. This time, stuffed with beef tips. The beef was chopped up into tiny pieces but was tasty and the chimichangas were piping hot. The rest of the meal, on the other plate, was left wasted.

Don't mind this place, because their service is through the roof good and their portions are ample and then some. The food is rich and delicious so if you leave hungry it's on your own. HOWEVER. They love to pull the typical Mexican restaurant amnesia check. "Oh that's 2 dinners for $9.99? Yes that's $ 23.95" that's not how it goes. Maiestros and Toro Loco in Portsmouth loves to do the same so be aware. Overcharging is a thug with these establishments
