I hate the beer. I absolutely despise it with every fiber of my being. Its literally the worst tasting beer I've ever had in my life and I used to drink Beast and MD2020.However I love this space and everything about it. Service is always on point.Make the beer better.

We came to Trellis to celebrate a friends birthday. It looks like an awesome outdoor area, so we will be back when the weather is warmer. The inside was so spacious and welcoming. We also enjoyed the various beers and cocktails to choose from!

New Brewery that just recently opened on Logan Street. It is a little hidden so you will really have to look but, when you see it, you will know. They have a huge gravel parking lot, not really a fan of that. They have inside and outside seating. Walking up to the bar and ordering was a little confusing at first but, got the hang of it. I wasn't sure what to order but, the bar tender was helpful enough and asked what beers I typically like. I went with a Mexican Lager (I forget the name) I actually liked that one. You can get big pours and small pours here. They don't have food but, if you follow them on Facebook, they will post what food trucks will be in on what nights. I do like this newer brewery and I do intend on visiting again.

First time at Trellis was on a Wednesday around 7pm.Pulling in from Logan Street, it was not easy to initially see where they were. Trellis is tucked in the back of the lot. You first see a building on Logan St that looks like it could collapse or could be in a zombie movie. There is ample parking in a large gravel lot.Water station is one of the first things I saw walking in (always nice to have).Pretty long bar, which is where we sat. Didn't like the lack of a foot bar on the actual bar, but the stool had one. There's a clip under the bar where a purse (or dog leash) can be secured. The place was pretty loud with not a lot of people inside (I imagine it gets really loud when crowded).Dogs were barking from time to time. We were greeted quickly and got our beers without waiting long.I asked for a half pour of a Smoketown and my husband ordered something that starts with S (kind of an easy drinking session-type beer). I was given a large mug of beer that appeared and tasted just like my husband's (so I don't think I got the Smoketown unless it's identical to the S word beer).Beer was fine, no complaints there.Wanted to get some hummus, but bartender didn't return until we were nearly finished with our beers. There was some sort of food truck outside, not sure what they were serving. Plenty of room inside and outside on patio. Interesting graffiti outside (saw "pee pee poo or die" spray painted on the concrete wall).Music was what most breweries play (hipster brewery rock, if that's a genre), and it wasn't too loud.Bathrooms: they have gender specific bathrooms with a shared sink in between. Men's is the first door and Women's is down the hall and to the right (no symbol or indication when staring directly at the door). [Of note, do not be like me and open the door that says FIRE ALARM Control System Inside.]Women's room had two small stalls and a wheelchair accessible stall.Clean inside since they are new. No paper towels, just air blaster for drying. To return to bar area, there's a door handle to turn (so bring a tissue if you don't like touching things after washing). They have one TV that was showing a walk through a Japanese train station and strolling down the city sidewalk. It looked like they only have one type of bourbon (Jim Beam).Don't go: if you don't like dogs, if you are sensitive to loud noise, you want to watch sports, or you want to try a variety of bourbons with your beer.Do go: if you like fresh new breweries with a good selection of beers, need a spacious place for lots of friends to hang out, love dogs, like trying new places in Louisville, and enjoy brewery music.

Decided to explore trellis brewing for the Sunday trivia. It was our first time in the space. It was kind of surprising because you're in a gravel parking lot next to an abandoned building but trellis is this cute building that has been redone fabulous patio. There's plenty of space outside and space inside. It's a great location to be able to work from home, read, or just hang out with friends. The interior is cozy and comfortable. The bar is well marked. And they have great options. Also, the bathroom was fascinating with a very industrial look. I thought it was great to share the sink area between the bathrooms. It was such a beautiful area and I really enjoyed the ambiance with friends.

What a hidden gem! I've never been here until I attended for a pop up the other week and I love it! It's a great joint for a plethora of unique beer options (even wine), that surely will satisfy your craving. It's a cool looking space that has a good amount of seating. I've only been when it's cold, but they do have what appears to be an amazing outdoor seating/patio area. I can't wait to go back during warmer months to check it out!

Nice, spacious, fun brewery off Logan St. Very industrial (inside and outside). Staff was friendly. Lots of seating areas inside and out. Beers were $7. Only 1 TV. Plenty of outside parking.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this brewery - it was hot and we wanted to go somewhere indoors with our pup. The interior was very cozy and clean. The beer was delicious and the service was great. Everyone was kind to us and our girl. Would recommend!

Trellis Brewing is a delightful brewery in the heart of Smoketown. The owners hold a wonderful passion of supporting the community and local agriculture with magical ingredients being sourced from Kentucky and Indiana. The brewery itself serves as a warm and inviting place for everyone. The intentionality put into restoring and repurposing an old building is evident in every element. Sitting off Beargrass Creek, they even partnered to bring in native plant species and I'm excited to see how their outdoor space expands. For now though, it's perfect as-is. Ample, locally hand crafted, custom seating provides space for everyone indoors, and the outdoor space is filled with tables, benches, and good ole porch swings. Dog and kiddo friendly space. The indoor couches even offer carabiners to clip in your furry companions.Oh, and I've gotten this far and forgot to mention the beer - duh - it's delightful! Simple and something for everyone - from crushable lagers to hoppy IPAs to citrusy witbiers. Prefer wine or non-alcoholic beverages - they have those options, too! Absolutely recommend you give the wonderful team at Trellis a spin.

If you're looking for great locally made brews look no further. The drinks are incredible, the service is friendly and fast, and the brewery is spacious and comfortable, with a polished revival of historic Louisville architecture. Plus there events and food pop-ups are not to be missed. Love this place!
