I've been involved with horses for every decade of my life, and I keep coming back to 3 day. It's a closely-knit yet welcoming community of folks of all ages who really love their horses. Head trainer and owner, Tanya, is big on building strong foundations and has an excellent reputation for starting young horses or retraining difficult ones. She's also the head coach for Transylvania University's head eventing team, which is based at the farm. There's an indoor plus outdoor arena, a cross country field, and plenty of room in surrounding farmland to hack out or do interval training. Tanya especially, along with the farm and stable managers are big on barn and horse safety - this is the kind of place where you will find no sharp corners or edges, breakaway hooks on every cross tie and rope, everything up to code, well-maintained paddocks and fencing, no dogs allowed, etc. If someone is doing something that's not leading to the optimum safety and protection of their and others horses, they'll be told so. The stalls, wash rack, tack room, and aisle are kept very clean. Quality is valued in every lesson beginner to advanced, and in horse care. Stall-care horses are fed twice per day, with pasture-care horses brought in by staff for daily feedings for a reasonable added fee as needed. 12 stall barn, 5 big pastures, and smaller paddocks for overflow/quarantine horses. They throw good hay in the winter and provide up to 2 scoops per day of high quality Hallway feeds grain for pasture horses, included in the price of board. The unofficial barn farrier & barn vet are top-notch and preferred in their fields by sport horse owners. Plus, the barn cats are AWESOME. They have their own Instagram @catsofthreedayfarm .

Awesome facility, awesome people and I love Tanya! Top notch care and very helpful with horse management and lessons! I'm going Prelim and she is great with my tight budget and special needs :) HIGHLY recommend this farm. Offers as much hay and grain as your horse needs.

I have been boarding my horse with Tanya Davis at Three Day Farm for over two years now. My horse has blossomed and I have learned so much. I was at another facility before this where the caregivers did not watch him that closely, he foundered, they told me that they thought I could do better with another horse. Since coming to Three Day Farm Tanya has worked with my horse and me twice a week and he is now a horse I can ride with confidence. The care Three Day Farm provides is second to none. He has a large 12X12 stall with two water buckets that are checked daily. He is on a good diet and has turned into a lean pony if that is possible. He is turned our at night and brought in the morning, blanketed when needed and checked everyday.

Very poorly managed horse boarding farm. Tanya Davis, "manager " does not over see the daily care of the horses .she relies on others to mange the horses in exchange for giving them lessons. Tanya is all about her bottom line., not the quality of care.My experience was very poor, actually the worst in all my years of owning and showing horses. There were multiple times my horses were not fed and/or had no water. The pastures are very overgrazed and she does not feed supplement hay in order to save herself money. The hay she barely provided -2 flakes once a day during for 16.2 hand TB, was a very poor quality. The lack of basic care was really disturbing. No where near the care for the fullboard prices i paid. - $625 per month.. Be sure to stay on top of it.0 stars if allowed on this site.

Carol R. Is a false name. I won't even list this woman's name but will say she had to be removed from my facilities after 5 weeks. She caused more trouble than I had ever seen in the 25 years of running a farm/training business for everyone in my operation. I had found out that after evicting her she had been asked to leave 3 other facilities in Kentucky. This state no longer worked out for her so she is now back in California. CA you are welcome to have her:)
