The Whippoorwill Diner

It is clear that this place takes great pride in preparing food that is well above the ordinary and made from scratch. We received great service and the owner/cook personally came out to check that everything was good. Although it is a bit out of the way, you will enjoy the drive and will be glad you went. We certainly will be back.

Service is beyond great! They always deliver smiles and the decor feels so warm and inviting. Chairs are COMFY!Food is home-cooked like momma used to make. Hours are Mon - Fri 7am-4pm & Saturday 7am-3pm EST. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu! The chef keeps it exciting by adding new items too.

Good country cooking with unique flair. The Whippoorwill is one of Pulaski county's best hidden gems. It's new location is a good ways from town, but well worth the drive. I have been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and never been let down. The owner, Charles, cooks most of the food and even remembers that my dad likes "extra gravy."

This was an *excellent* little diner with homemade, southern food. It's a short distance off the highway and a nice alternative from fast food on a long trip. Plentiful breakfast and lunch options to choose from. My wife and I had the hot brown and a side of Mac-n-cheese and it was worth every penny. If you're passing thru definitely worth the quick trip for a hot, homemade and delicious meal!

What a very pleasant surprise while working in Somerset, KY this past week. I was checking Yelp for places to eat for breakfast and I came across The Whippoorwill Diner. My coworker and I were greeted by Charles the owner. He asked how we heard about the diner, I told him some friends told me about it. I told Charles I wasn't picked and I eat whatever he recommended for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge! You will not leave hungry. The dining area is small but very welcoming and the chairs are very comfortable.Next time your in the area put this on your to eat list.Support local small businesses!!!!You won't regret it!BOOM!!!!

Place just opened, great atmosphere and friendly staff. you must try the chocolate gravy, never seen a restaurant serve this. A truly great experience.

We were driving through KY and came across this place. They opened 10 months ago and seem to be doing great! The service was super sweet and everyone is very friendly. The spicy sausage is reallllllly good! They also have oat milk for your coffee :)

This was the first time I had tried the Whipporwill's dining room, and I was so pleased. On a humid, stormy day, the rustic, cozy feeling was so appealing. I ordered the nachos as my meal, and the smoked chicken was the absolute king of that plate. The owner came and talked with us, and it made the whole experience feel super comfortable. I would say bottom line of my experience at the Whipporwill is that their smoked meats are extraordinary, and you won't regret the beautiful scenic drive to get out there. Some places "phone in" a few seasonings for meats, but the Whipporwill nails it-- all of the entrees I've tried there have set the bar for me at a new high. Honorable mention is that their cornbread and their in-house baked breads are excellent as well. After dinner, make sure to snag some of the flavored breads on the way out the door. When you serve it at dinner the next day, it'll boost whatever you're serving with it.

I forgot something. On the way out I bought 4 strawberry cheesecake cookies. They were for my month er-in-law that lives anything strawberry. We all had one snd they were outstanding get a cookie on the way out!
