If you are considering a stay at The Samuels House I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. It is a beautiful historic home that is part bed and breakfast and part carefully curated museum. All the basics are provided with a touch of class. Conveniently located within a short drive to all the distilleries in the Bardstown area. I highly recommend the private chef experience and Sips and Stories with Bill Samuels, Jr. Your stay here will be the cornerstone of an epic vacation!

I can't recommend The Samuels House enough - an incredible historic property (I hear there is a historic marker in the works!) that has gorgeous modern amenities tastefully tucked in every corner. Seriously, the bathrooms are gorgeous (with heated floors!), the beds are so comfy, and the sheets are to die for. The kitchen is beautiful, with an ice machine and bourbon balls in the freezer! (Uhhh, by the way... y'all are out of bourbon balls as of my last drink Saturday night - you made just the right number for our party of 6). We couldn't agree on our favorite room (Kitchen? Man cave? Master? Master bath? Parlor? Porch?) but we did eat on the back porch 3 different times - comfy and peaceful, and within easy distance of the aforementioned bourbon balls. The house is within easy range of a ton of bourbon options but if you can, swing the private tour with My New Best Friend, Bill Samuels, Jr.; you won't be disappointed. Meeting him was the highlight of the weekend and all other tours paled in comparison. We could have spent several more hours listening to him, and we all came up with a ton of questions we wished we had asked! We are already trying to come up with another reason to make the trip again! Rob, thank you for sharing your family's rich history with us! And thanks to the property manager, Missy, for quick responses and johnny-on-the-spot communication! (Y'all - the house even has an app for pre/during/post/entertainment/etc info!)

Experience! That is what the Samuels house is. The amazing history of this family and their heritage is on display throughout this amazing historical home. The incredible kitchen next to a dining room that still has the table that Bill Jr used to sit at when he was a child with so many amazing art, historical artifacts and the stories of this iconic family. We were blessed to have Bill Jr. Meet us and shared his experience in this home with stories going back to the 1600s. We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute we were here!

Great place to stay! If you're visiting for the bourbon trail and love history, this is it. The family history, the attention to detail, history with a touch of today's tech and functionality. We had a group of 8, we all had plenty of space. The beds all awesome, beautiful bathrooms, kitchen is fantastic... everything you need for a great time with family and friends.

What an amazing place to stay! Beautiful house with colonial charm and modern amenities. Filled with rich family history, and looking at the names of their relatives and many family friends the house is filled with a rich American history! We also had an unforgettable private tour at the Maker's Mark distillery by Bill Samuels Jr. himself. Seeing all the incredible things going on at this legendary distillery is proof positive they will remain at pinnacle of the bourbon industry. Cheers!
