Food portions are large, service and ambiance meh. Over priced! Nice that it's by the fields though, great parent hang out during kids practices and games.

My husband and I had lunch at the Pitch on Thursday and it was a great experience! Vicki our server was warm, attentive and efficient. We will be visiting there again. We both had the Pinch Hitter burger with the chips. Sooooo

It's not terrible. Not terrible, that is, for a low priced, casual dining establishment with no pretensions. For a restaurant operated by an "award winning chef" it is a disappointment. The menu is generic and the quality of the ingredients is indistinguishable from what you get at virtually any sports bar or or casual dining restaurantEvidently, winning a James Beard Award has much more to do with marketing and schmoozing than it does with creativity or food quality. It's maybe a half-step up from strip-mall chains like Applebee's and Chili's. If I ever happen to be at Shawnee for an event, I'd probably give it another go rather than drive several miles through traffic to get a meal but, I would not consider ever making a special trip to eat there again.

My family was driving through this area on a trip to the east coast and I think this place is perfect if you need a place to stop with friends or with kids. It sits in the middle of an outdoor sports complex so there is a playground, swimming pool, and soccer field. The place has indoor and outdoor seating with a nice view of the area. I was super happy with this find. The food was tasty and unique. We started off with pretzels, cheese curds, and the corn fritters. For our meals we got burgers and a pizza. We finished with desserts and I would recommend the waffle hands down.

Stopped in for lunch, first time trying the place. The hubs ordered the pulled bbq sandwich with sweet potato tater tots (that $2.50 upgrade). I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos with the house chips. Jaelyn was our waitress and she was friendly and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She held her own with as busy as it was with the soccer tournament. Even through that was going on, the wait was minimal. Food was hot and fresh. When I go back I would definitely ask for the chips without seasoning (it was heavily seasoned for my taste. but the hubs liked them). We will definitely come back!

We love the Pitch. The food is excellent. We also tried the 1010 and everything was excellent as well but to up scale for our taste. So really like the pitch Chef Paul is wonderful and really deserves the James Beard award

Get the pizza. Trust me. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The vibe was great.

Food was really good, service was good and the food came out really fast. I always appreciate the yelp reviews for good places that I might normally not try. This place is next to a busy soccer complex, so I might otherwise avoid it on a Saturday/Sunday, but we were next door and hungry and it didn't disappoint. I got the cornfused app as my meal with a huge garden salad and they were both excellent. The homemade ranch was really good. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

At there for a work gathering. Server was amazing! Food was great! The atmosphere was spot on upstairs, and I love that the parking lot is big and open.

Happened upon this place and it was so wonderful! We brought our pup and sat on the patio. The ambiance was great, food was amazing, and service was incredible. Kaitlyn was so sweet and really made the experience that much better. Highly recommend!
