The Overlook Restaurant

Good food, cold beers and amazing view. Visited for lunch while driving around southern Indiana. We had our dogs with us so we sat on the patio and enjoyed the scenery. I had the breaded tenderloin (an Indiana delicacy) and it was good. I saw the catfish filets and think I may have to go back and try it.

Late 70's/80's with Hoosier HospitalityThis was a good stop for dinner. I feel like for a local place where there are so few options it was very pricey. Expect to spend about $50 or so for 2 people.We had the beef manhattan and the country fried steak. The beef manatees huge and excellent. The country fried steak was a bit chewy than what I expected.The view here is fabulous. You can see out to the Ohio River from just about anywhere in the restaurant.Ours waitress was great. Very prompt and attentive.I probably would have gone 4 stars if the price was a bit better.

Our party of 5 came on a beautiful Fall day with perfectly blue skies and colorful foliage. The place was slammed and were told the wait was 70-80 minutes. We hung out on the patio watching the boats go by until our pager went off to let us know the table was ready. We didn't have to wait as long as we were told it would be. Luke and Lonnie were our servers. I ordered lemon pepper baked cod, extra crispy fries and Cole Slaw. My wife ordered chicken pot pie with green beans. Our friends ordered meatloaf and fried cod with sweet potato fries and onion rings. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was wonderful.

The view was STUNNING and the food was very good. Except for those green beans which had almost no flavor whatsoever. The waitress seem to be very defensive. Like every time you asked for something, she felt the need to give an explanation on why that hadn't already happened or that it was gonna take a while. Not pleasant.

We visited on a Sunday and they were very busy when we arrived. We were quoted a 40-50 min wait time for 6 people and we were seated within about 20 mins. Our server came over promptly and took our drink order. When she came back to take our order she informed us they were out of burgers which was my first choice so I ordered the Ruben. A few mins later she came back and informed they were out of Ruben's as well. So I opted for the fried chicken sandwich and it was good but nothing special about it and it lacked flavor. Definitely could have used some seasoning. I also had some of the fried pickle spears appetizer and they were the best I've ever had. Overall quick service despite being busy however I wish they wouldn't have been out of several items. The view is absolutely beautiful and perfect back drop for pics before or after your meal. They also have a wine tasting area downstairs that's accessible from outside. However we didn't visit this area.

The view here is beautiful!! I had the ribs and they were great. Their homemade bbq sauces is very tasty. The waitress was quick and friendly. This place is a must do during the fall season.

Went here for a family reunion of 20 people. Emily our waitress was super friendly and accommodating to everyone's needs. We had a group from 10 month old to a 91 year old. Beef manhattan, pork tenderloin sandwich and steak were all so good, cooked to order. Everyone also loved the coconut cream pie. And don't forget the view....... It just can't be beat. Every time we are in Corydon IN we have to stop here, over 15 years now. It is always a treat.

Absolutely magnificent view and venue on the Ohio River. Comfort food with home cooking presentation. Keeping it real and simple and you will not go away hungry. A few beer choices and a sangria for a cocktail/ wine offering. Service was fine for our large group. Come hungry, come for the fantastic view!

Amazing food! My husband had the vegetable soup, Manhattan and I had the Catfish and sweet potatoes and it was absolutely delicious!! The view was awesome, and staff was friendly, as well!! Highly recommended!

Food was amazing. Great home cooked meal! And a great view!Crystal was our waitress and she was very good and well attentive. We will definitely be back!
